Looks like Viney, Lever and Weideman will go out and Dunstan, Smith and Brown in.

Doubt Dunstan. Sparrow will put in more on ball minutes to cover Viney. His big chance. Also Brayshaw....

Weed is in the starting 18 so he plays. Forward line with Brown, weed and t-mac is fraught with danger. It surely won't line up like that though. I don't like having lever out of the side and this only reminds me of what a load of [censored] these hs protocols are.

Are the 18 on the field locked in? Brown, TMac and Weideman all there.

I have the exact same questions!

Doesn't Weid being named in the 18 mean he's definitely playing though?

That’s what I thought.

It seems that T Mac might be pushed back.

Interesting that they have Brown replacing Viney thought Dunstan would get a go. Brown should be in the VFL we are now too tall.

What I dearly hope to see some day

In: Sanity

Out: BS health and safety protocols

I suggest Tmac goes back and Gus goes to the wing with JJ in the middle to help out without Viney.

Protocols end tomorrow night, maybe they have it.

The protocols ending wouldn't mean that anyone in them before then just gets to walk out though I wouldn't think.

Also the AFL would have to allow the unnamed players to play.

I doubt that that team is set… although it confusing and it leads one to think that we are playing all three tall fwds.

I'm not going to waste too much time on suggested ins and outs 3 days away from a game when we already have 2 players out with H & S protocols. A lot can happen between now and then.

Final teams by tomorrow evening i believe so the starting 18 is still open.

Gut feel instincts (ie; throw a dart)...

Smith possibly coming in for Lever,  Bedford for Viney with Sparrow / Harmes to share more of the Viney role between them?  Mostly Sparrow.  Harmes still playing his usual hybrid MF/HF role with a little more bias toward MF minutes?  Bedford to get a bit of MF time with these two but more as a high HF/Mid when these two are off and or pushing forward.

Terrible luck if Viney and Lever are just close contacts and missed the end of the BS rules by 1 day!

Why not mate, we’ve been doing it for days already! 😂

Not a fan of Dunstan getting a run. I would rather move Brayshaw into the middle, keep Jordon and Langdon on the wings, and move Bedford onto the bench. It just looks unresloved and messy with that many names on the board.

A late withdrawal of one of Weid, TMac, Brown or possibly Jackson isn't beyond the realms of possibility

We don’t play those games.

Well, the pecking order in the back line has become a little clearer but Brown, McDonald and Weideman up front?

Tom Sparrow to take Viney's spot in the middle?

As for the oppo other than Rioli I've never heard of any of their ins.

Yes we do. Lever was out earlier in the season on the quiet and pulled out ‘at the last minute’.

We’re a footy club, not saints.

Based on the 18 picked

IN Smith and Brown

OUT Viney Lever

T Mac to play back/utility. We do look tall but.

With 2 forced changes do we want to take a total of 3 out of a winning side? (that is also 5 & 0)

So T-Mac & Weid to stay with T-Mac going back?

Bedford comes in you'd imagine along with BBB

Dunstan as the sub?  Or maybe Smith for some added versatility (if needed)

We do if one of them needs a fitness test leading into the game

Goody has already said we wont play 3 key forwards. I wont put any thought into the 18 named on field and just absorb the outs and wait until the final 22 is announced tomorrow. Shame about the 2 out for protocols but it is what it is. Will be interesting to see how they cover Viney’s midfield time.

  • NON-MFC: Round 07

Round 7 gets underway in iconic fashion with the traditional ANZAC Day blockbuster. The high-flying Magpies will be looking to solidify their spot atop the ladder, while the Bombers are desperate for a win to stay in touch with the top eight. Later that evening, Fremantle will be out to redeem themselves after a disappointing loss to the Demons, facing a hungry Adelaide side with eyes firmly set on breaking into the top four. Saturday serves up a triple-header of footy action. The Lions will be looking to consolidate their Top 2 spot as they head to Marvel Stadium to clash with the Saints. Over in Adelaide, Port Adelaide will be strong favourites at home against a struggling North Melbourne. The day wraps up with a fiery encounter in Canberra, where the Giants and Bulldogs renew their bitter rivalry. Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Suns aiming to bounce back from their shock defeat to Richmond, taking on the out of form Swans. Then the Blues will be out to claim a major scalp when they battle the Cats at the MCG. The round finishes with a less-than-thrilling affair between Hawthorn and West Coast at Marvel. Who are you tipping and what are the best results for the Demons?

  • REPORT: Fremantle

For this year’s Easter Saturday game at the MCG, Simon Goodwin and his Demons wound the clock back a few years to wipe out the horrible memories of last season’s twin thrashings at the hands of the Dockers. And it was about time! Melbourne’s indomitable skipper Max Gawn put in a mammoth performance in shutting out his immediate opponent Sean Darcy in the ruck and around the ground and was a colossus at the end when the game was there to be won or lost. It was won by 16.11.107 to 14.13.97. There was the battery-charged Easter Bunny in Kysaiah Pickett running anyone wearing purple ragged, whether at midfield stoppages or around the big sticks. He finish with a five goal haul.

  • CASEY: UWS Giants

The Casey Demons took on an undefeated UWS Giants outfit at their own home ground on a beautiful autumn day but found themselves completely out of their depth going down by 53 points against a well-drilled and fair superior combination. Despite having 15 AFL listed players at their disposal - far more than in their earlier matches this season - the Demons were never really in the game and suffered their second defeat in a row after their bright start to the season when they drew with the Kangaroos, beat the Suns and matched the Cats for most of the day on their own dung heap at Corio Bay. The Giants were a different proposition altogether. They had a very slight wind advantage in the opening quarter but were too quick off the mark for the Demons, tearing the game apart by the half way mark of the term when they kicked the first five goals with clean and direct football.
