When your “bottom 6” would be best 22 at just about any club in the competition you know you’ve made it.

NB: Whilst not in the votes so good to have Harry Petty back in the side and was a big reason for May’s domination.

Hard to do votes but I thought that was Steven Mays best game for the club. Would have been a different match without his dominance particularly the first quarter.

I suspect anyone actually at the G last night would be giving him BOG

1. Viney/ Kossie/ and just about every one else.

Complete as you can ask for team effort which translated to accurate goal kicking.

Some wonderful individual highlights from Kossie ( multiple) Tommy Sparrow also Goal of the Yesr chance just like Kossies and Bowser great intercept and shot for third GOTY possibility.

6 - May  - absolutely sensational defender all night and rebounded well

5 - Gawn - stood tall in a very psychical encounter

4- Petracca - just made things happen

3- Viney - strong at the contest and in the tackle, and his goal topped off a good night

2- Pickett - pure excitement

1- Spargo - best game ever imv, with more energy and smart footy

apologies to Harmesy, Clarry and Fritsch who were also very good.

Sorry Balls but I was at the game and could not see Tmcd in our best 6 players or indeed the best 18 Dees on the night.   Team effort all night yet to be honest Tmcd was poor in the first half (1 kick, 1 handball) and lifted to have some impact in the 2nd half.  Still could hold his spot with a toss of the coin between Weid and Tmcd if Goody sees BBB back in.

Yeah, each to their own.  I thought he was easily our best key forward.  Probably could have ended up with 3 goals if he kick straight the way he is capable of.  Dished off that great team first goal to Fritsch and was probably involved in several others.  It's T Mac and BBB all the way next week for me.

In retrospect, I don't know how I missed giving votes to Clarry though.  Guess he just goes about his work in such a reliable, workman like way, he just blends into the woodwork. Per usual he was everywhere, winning and distributing out the ball to advantage.  I've increasing noticed how that kicking follow through he does when he drives the ball forward is Barassi like.  Such a weapon.

Don't disagree with the above either.  I guess when the team is working so well as such and supporting it's hard to pick out the best from the rest.  In particular, I feel like Harmes has got off to a good start to the year, putting himself in good positions to win the ball and taking some of the heat off others like Clarry and Trac.
