adidas la plata football boots,OFF 58%,welcome to buy,araguaiashopping.com.br

When I played these were considered the "Elite" boot and choice of champions ( which is why I wore them)

The ADIDAS LA PLATA..... A magnificent football boot made from REAL leather!!

When I played picket, I wore Jenkin boots ( and I mean boots) with nail in nylon stops.

@Webber would love your feedback on the dreaded and now seemingly increasing numbers of syndesmosis injuries in the AFL.

The last few years it seems like there are ever increasing numbers of it occurring are there any reasons why that might be the case

Players used to wear boots that supported the foot including the ankle.

Nowadays they seem to be wearing what looks like lightweight slippers. These slippers might be mind- help for the slow paced.

One thing they mentioned during the Sydney game is boot manufacturers no longer make studded boots, it's all molded stops. Watching Rugby that doesn't seem to be the case but maybe they are hard to find.

Conversely, we never seem to hear of osteitis pubis any more, whereas it was rife a few years back.

For some ridiculous reason I still have mine stashed in a cupboard. They were great on dry tracks and so comfortable compared to other boots (also had the Jenkins in my youth - still shudder at the thought of the blisters they gave).

At my low level we played on a lot of bog grounds so the old Adidas Strikers - screw in stops - often got a run ahead of the La Platas. Also good boots.

Wait what's with all the posts about Howes debuting?

Is he really in line to play? Wasn't in the named bests for Casey on the weekend and doesn't appear to fill any sort of need in our side?

They are talking about later in the season maybe. No spot atm and not ready either.

I think it comes from an earlier post in this thread which claimed that Howes was taken off the ground at 3/4 time in the Casey game. From that, it has been inferred that he was being rested to enable him to play in the seniors 6 days later.

Nevertheless, a useful reminder using the words of Winston Churchill (quite prescient given there was no social media in his day):

"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on."

(Note: I'm not suggesting that any posters here have been telling lies.)

He didn't play the last qtr so there is a theory that he was rested, due to a 5 day break to Friday night's game. He was certainly impressive for Casey.

Heard on SEN that Trac was seen hobbling around yesterday. Does anyone have anymore on that?

Haven't heard anything, but given the ferocious physicality of his play, I wouldn't be surprised if he hobbled around for a day or two after every game.

The physicality of both Petracca and Oliver makes them great but it does heighten the risk of injury and their longevity in the game.

Every time I watch these champs play I think, how long can they keep doing this. Also Maxy as well. But I guess it’s not a tap you can turn on and off.

Last year Goodwin said Petracca doesn't do a lot of training on Mondays because of knee soreness.  His whole left leg was in bandages in the Monday training pics so he may be in worse shape than usual.  Not sure if it was his right or left knee that had the ACL injury.

Edit:  From training gallery:

AFL 2022 Training - Melbourne 280322

Just noticed he is wearing a white training top whereas others are red or blue.  Not sure I've noticed a white top at training before but guess it means something 🤔

Not worried😟 .

Wrapped around his left leg

So after all that....

No Change?

All I keep hearing is how bad Oliver's shoulders are and how bad Trac's knee is.

Imagine if these two ever get fit.

Yes that is right, he has a case of the Footy being unable to detach itself from his retina. He sees eye to eye with it.. !!!

@webber noted clubs have improved how to manage training loads to reduce it.

What about Max's sore head, from all the blows landed on the back of his head in marking contests, typically without any free being paid to him.

Anyone who follows Trac on Insta will see how much work he does away from the club on maintaining his body.

Not too worried about him early in the week, I think al the work he does mid-week gets him primed for the games.

Oliver is the same.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.
