I would go along with that except one would have to include Brayshaw for his guts and determination playing an unorthodox role for him so I would slot him in in place of Smith who was credible...

Apologies Viney, Spargo, Jacko and May!! Nibbler pretty solid as well! T Mac in Backline pretty good as well!

yep… but daylight wasn’t seen all night.  ;-)

6 Tracc

5 Langdon

4 Viney

3 Brayshaw

2 ANB

1 Gawn

Brayshaw played out of his regular position and covered for Salem so well.

I mark BBB and May too hard probably

6.Petracca

5. Brown

4. Langdon

3. Viney

2. Oliver

1. ANB

Note: Had real difficulty from 4 down. Spargo is also vote worthy

PS: Having now read the votes given by others it seems that we all had problems after Petracca.

I gave Brown 5 because he kept us in touch when needed

It was the best game I've seen Smith* play, but am surprised to see how many people gave him votes. I would have a few others not in my votes (Gawn, May, Jackson) ahead of him, too.

*Best game I've seen Bailey Smith play, too.

6: Petracca

5. Brown

3 Brayshaw

apologies to Jackson, just couldn't squeeze him in.

Petracca -  Without him muscling the game in the third quarter, we lose. Outstanding!

Oliver.  Business as usual

Langdon. I can't recall another player who goes from deep defence to deep forward so often and so quickly.

BBB .  What a pick up ( and cheap). I already have money on him for the Coleman.

Brayshaw. As good as in the Grannie .

Max. Could have fitted a few in here but Max is a gut busting inspirational leader.

IMO one of the most impressive aspects of our win last night, was that it was such an even team performance.  I reckon you could throw a blanket over 10 or so players after Tracc, who was a clear standout   My stab at it, as follows:

6.  Petracca

5.  Langdon

4.  May

3.  Oliver

2.  Smith

1. Viney

My votes 5 down to 1, could easily have included the unlucky Brayshaw, Brown, Spargo, Jackson and Neal-Bullen.

After tracca it was very hard

spargo did not waste a ball

bowey similar

ANB. At times hunt, Landon for 3 quarters James jordon very solid. Baker I thought he was unsure then he composed himself and had a couple of really good bits

friitta all night dangerous as was BBB

Kossy was a bit quiet overall

tmac solid as a rock when at the back and smith had a solid game

wr are as equal as any side. Go dees

6 - Tracc

5 - Clayton

4 - BBB

3 - Gus

2 - JV

1 -Ed

apologies - May, ANB, TMac, Joel Smith, Spargs.

Could have easily given a vote to Spargo, Viney, Gawn or Jackson.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Gold Coast

On Friday, the Demons return to our Casey Fields fortress where they have a 77% win rate. The scent of September is in the air and the struggling Suns are on the horizon. The Cranbourne weather forecast? Ominous, like the match itself: a strong chance of carnage. Let’s be honest, last week’s first half against the West Coast was a training drill but we dropped our guard in the final quarter. While this match is a mismatch on paper — second versus seventeenth — football is won in the wind, the contests, and the moments.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #32 Tom Sparrow

The rugged Sparrow’s career appears to have plateaued in recent years. He makes the side on a week to week basis but he is unable to establish a foothold in the team’s midfield and arguably performs best outside of the contest in a forward position without being a goal kicker. He remains a good honest foot soldier but is not a star.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #33 Tom Fullarton

Fullarton managed a couple of games in the first half of the season but soon found himself back in the VFL. There, he found a niche at centre half back but it was not enough to retain a place on the list at season’s end.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #35 Harrison Petty

Entering 2025, it looked as if Petty would be secured in a defensive position, but plans shifted and he spent more time forward, averaging just over a goal per game throughout the season. It remains uncertain which area of the ground he will be expected to cover under the new coaching regime.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The dynamic small forward, possessing an innate ability to generate excitement with his explosive play around the goals, successfully transitioned into a role that afforded him more time in the midfield. The club also negotiated a long-term deal with Pickett, thereby eliminating any prospect of a move west by their star young player.

  • 2025 Player Reviews: #37 Kade Chandler

For a few years now, he has been a reliable, hard working pressure forward, but in 2025, Chandler elevated his performance, becoming an integral component of the team with enough versatility to play effectively on a wing from time to time.
