Caro generally gets more right than wrong. However, she has one substantial failing and that is an inability to acknowledge when she's got it wrong.

Also loves being called the "First Lady of Football" - Hutchy says it so often on Footy Classified that it must be in her contract.

Ben is one of my favourites at the club. When there was talk about him joining us I thought he'd fit right in and that has shown to be the case thankfully. He might also be our first carbon neutral signing.

Did he pedal across the Nullarbor?

BBB will always think fondly of his first love the Kanags but oh how happy am I he’s a premiership winning Demon and I reckon he loves us too.

Great positive influence amongst the playing group and a genuine decent bloke.

Wilson is the ultimate poisonous toxic [censored]. Nothing that comes out of her mouth or from her pen is anything less than scum.

Hindsight makes fools of all of us. Not her biggest mistake by a all long way.

Not a Caro hater but she had a shocker grand final week. Kicked off with a nothing story about a club curfew and followed up by comparing the tanking saga to the Essendon drug saga. Not her finest work at all.

Sounded rather droll and quite the hamfisted bore she becomes when things just don't pan out according to her forethought..

i really like caro - in terms of investigative reporting into the backroom shenanigans of afl and clubs she's second to none

very happy he and his manager didn't sign the north offer, which - as far as i am aware and as was widely reported at the time - they rescinded midway through 2020 as he battled a serious knee injury and family issues

with sideshow bob in the side, we were 11-1-1 and a premiership side

happy days

Haha. Hi Cards. I was referring to his vegan diet.

I met Clyde Laidlaw 10 years ago at a grand final function - he was the guest speaker.  He was in his 70's then and was completely wonderful. Not many get to be introduced as "a Melbourne premiership player" and fettered like he was that day.

BBB is now 'one of us'. Part of 22 that broke the dam wall. Play his cards right, he'll never have to work another day in his life. And forever, he'll be introduced as a Melbourne premiership player. What's that worth? I'd give my executive washroom up for that.

My executive washroom is a lemon tree.

Why did they have him chained up?

I suspect he may have been 'feted', rather than being into BDSM...

“Hamfisted bore”, what compliment, I always think of John Elliot when I hear the term.

She wrote an incredibly mean spirited article about Simon Goodwin in the days before the Grand Final. Dredged up a lot of personal garbage.

I have supported her over the years but she is bitter and twisted these days. Probably because her husband is Dan ANdrews media manager. Imagine their dinner table conversations. Yuk

Someone quoted me the goals that Kozzie has kicked in the games where BB was in the side. It was a big number. I haven't bothered to check it but sounded right....

Her article about Goodwin the day before the grand final was atrocious. Took pot shots at his gambling background, Essendon drug history, divorce and near sacking. Absolute gutter journalism.

I always thought m she was unfairly disparaged over the years, watching a few episodes of Footy Classified I’ve felt she has spent waaay to much time with Hutchy.
The Lachie Neale stuff was incredibly over the top.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
