Ridiculously harsh on Salem & AVB.Ā Ā

Salem was a rock & AVB was a terrific game for someone who hadn't played for a very long time and had very little VFL football.Ā  He had a big hand in 3 goal scoring chains and came back from a huge bump.

Way too complimentary on Gawn who had his worst game in hisĀ last 50 odd.

Jackson wasn't just a game, he was once again, very poor and justĀ isn't giving enough.Ā Ā

Cannot kick straightĀ

Miss set shots

You can insert any number of names in this spot

Ā

Ā

Need to learn to kick more goals, even if we could turn half of those points into goal would make a huge difference.

Viney: career worst form
Players: drinking own bathwater.
Goodwin: can't motivate players

Disagree on Gawn.Ā  He tried very hard.Ā  That chase in the third was immense.Ā  My Hawthorn supporting mates said they win by 4 goals if Gawn wasn't playing.

Last 3 minutes - More composure needed.

The only reason they drew was that he was getting clear hit outs and everything went to Mitchell, Worpel & O'Meara.

Also, can't stand the smiling and lack of intensity.Ā  The Captain sets the level of intensity and fanaticismĀ  Never see Joel Selwood smiling!

Joeboy - Fair Weather Supporter?

Generous assessment of May, he was ordinary tonight.Ā

I don't know who is a less convincingĀ kick for goal, Jackson or Oliver.Ā

Will cost us finals, our sh*tty kicking.

Can we bring Bowey in for Brayshaw yet?Ā

I'm usually the first one to pot the umpires but not this time. The game should've been over at half time no questions asked, but we slackened off for 10 mins and lost the game. That's on our players.

Picture this, 3/4 time, our premiership hopes are on the line in terms of a top 4 finish. We recognise that we need to start winning more contests. So what happens at the first centre bounce in the last quarter? A straight forward centre clearance and kick to Lewis who strolls in to take the mark and goals. Enough said.Ā

It was a pea hearted effort by all players and coaches tonight.Ā

Don’t agree with many joeboy. Trac and Clarry were among our best and what was safe and reliable about May? Poor game imo

Very selfish game by Viney... 11 tackles! He obviously is trying too hard! 32 Disposals... He should stick with 6 or 7 toĀ warrant the criticism that the astute arm-chair critics of Demonland spit out! Only third for the team on metres gained... well that caps it off!

Viney : Equal Accumulate more DIstribute

Clarrie : Lower your eyes

Kozzie : 300 Set shot practice

Tmac: Stay away from Brown

You're too caught up in the stats movement. The turnovers killed us. Time and time again.Ā

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert. Ā This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdownĀ pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% winĀ rate)Ā againstĀ hisĀ protĆ©gĆ© Daisy Pearce (16Ā games,Ā 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ isĀ mythic. Ā LikeĀ Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill herĀ (sporting metaphor) orĀ be her. Ā ToothersĀ Daisy PearceĀ isĀ a role model,Ā someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.Ā

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
