Well at least we are not as bad as west coast

West Coast only 9 points to half time.

Seriously -  WTF WCE??

The best thing a Melbourne supporter can do now is import covid (Or another communicable disease) to Perth so we can play WC in Geelong. They have been smacked twice there this year

We think we have problems.....Wc with thier gun fwds & mids lose by 90 points, my question is how do the swans find a way vs what we are serving up??

LOL Ump paid a free against Roughead, who immediately starts to remonstrate asking the ump all the whys and wherefores. Fan in the front row screams out to the ump, “ANSWER HIM!” Certainly not what an ump would expect to hear. ?

What’s the bet that fan is a schoolteacher or at the very least a dad?

Most polite Collingwood fan I’ve ever heard. ?

Definitely an authoritative figure with a projecting voice!

? all I want for Christmas is…

Max King in red and blue ?

Seriously the Doggies are a good outfit. Their forward connection and ball use is just something to marvel at.

And they have forwards that can actually kick straight.

Ump: "Here's your answer. Jordan, under law 22.2.2 (k), I am reporting you for disputing an umpire's decision."

We should have given BB back to Norf....at least that way he could help them beat Doggies and keep us up the ladder.

Don't care what people say on here regarding our ladder position, but the Western Bulldogs are CLEARLY the best team in the comp.

They are ahead on us so many levels. Their midfield to forward connection is light years ahead of us and they have forwards who actually impact and kick goals.

Their mids just do their role so simple. None of this Hollywood crap that Petracca, Oliver or Harmes have dished out the past couple of weeks.

Their midfield depth is scary.

A well drilled and coached outfit. Individually though they are not any better so I have some hope that we can build to that but agree they are the best in the comp.

Sure.

Doesn't mean we can't beat them.

We already have.

This almost becomes irrelevant when we lose to sides like Adelaide, Collingwood and GWS.

They're top team because they get it done against these teams when we simply don't.

This is very strange logic Dazzle.

Last year Richmond lost to Hawthorn and Sydney. Does that devalue their premiership?

Its about putting together the best body of work you can to give yourself the best opportunity in September.

Stewy Dew’s nickname? It has to be “Over” doesn’t it? He looks 10 months pregnant!

We beat grand finalists in Adelaide on their home deck in 2017 and also beat eventual premiers in West Coast back in 2018.

We are one loss from dropping from top 4 next week. The fact we've put ourselves in that position by dropping games to bottom 8 side just shows that we still cannot be trusted once again, and that we are still mentally fragile.

There are significant improvement needed over the next coming weeks because right now our destiny is in our hands if we are to seriously contend

History will tell you that you'll never win a flag from outside the 4. Doggies did it in a once in a million back in 2016, but it's a rarity.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

A few years ago, the Melbourne Football Club produced a documentary about the decade in which it rose from its dystopic purgatory of regular thrashings to the euphoria of a premiership victory. That entire period could have been compressed in a fast motion version of the 2025 season to date as the Demons went from embarrassing basket case to glorious winner in an unexpected victory over the Dockers last Saturday. They transformed in a single week from a team that put in a pedestrian effort of predictably kicking the ball long down the line into attack that made a very ordinary Bombers outfit look like worldbeaters into a slick, fast moving side with urgency and a willingness to handball and create play with shorter kicks and by changing angles to generate an element of chaos that yielded six goals in each of the opening quarters against Freo.
