2 minute noodles smothered by craft singles with a refreshing lime green cordial made up in a 40/60 ratio.

Remember to take the plastic off the cheese.
And 40/60, that's a fair sugar fix.

Same routine, for thirteenth time, bathroom, pod coffee, toast, Robert Palmer's 'Secrets' on, shower, dress (yes - in that order).....

I've done all I can.

I'm not sure that's legal. Make sure you wear a fitted MND beanie.

Leaving Wangaratta may not be legal but it's strongly recommended.

Lived in Wang for a couple of years with my ex wife. Actually more so out at Markwood.

I feel sorry for you....

I'll take Wang over Melbourne any forken day.

I’ve had 3 weetbix with a light dusting of sugar, drenched in 4oC milk.

hopefully that will prepare my body for the onslaught of alcohol today

1-2 goal per quarter better team

Thus, win between 24-48 points

 Can't wait

Would love to see Buckley head off to the axed coaches' Valhalla with a massive L next to his coaching record

I like big cans too

hilarious.  40/60 ratio hahaha!

That’s with GREEN cordial. If Nascent is a cordial connoisseur like myself he’ll know that with RED cordial this ratio is all wrong. Unless you wanna be bouncing off the walls for three days.

In fairness it’s unlikely he is living with your ex-wife

Coincidentally the meal of choice for the dentally-challenged filth supporter

Am I the only one who has a gut wrenching feeling about today. I hate the filth. but the MFCSS has me bad this morning.

Wow. I have no idea what the first three of those things are but it all sounds impressive. Enjoy the day Josh.

1964 Padron is a cigar and a very nice one at that.

Steak (eye fillet of course) sandwiches here. Onion (cooked in a little olive oil and garlic), egg, bacon, a little bit of BBQ sauce, cheese, topped with beetroot and lettuce.

Lit the open fire, a 2017 Jacobs Creek Merlot and a Graziers 2018 Shiraz on the mantel. Corona's and One Fifty Lashes Pale Ale in the fridge. Might have a little Jamesons after the win.

Im having a debate with a Collingwood supporter friend. How long has the QB match (Melb vs Collingwood) been going for. ie: how long is the tradition?

1993, 1996, 1999, 2001-2019.

Some of the senior citizens around here may recall if some Queens birthday games actually occurred between the two sides prior to 1990.

The supposedly Queens-birthday game in 2000 when Farmer went nuts with 9 second half goals actually occurred on the Saturday afternoon of the q’Bday weekend of 2000.

Today will be the first time I’ve watched a game of footy as a single man in 20 years. Hopefully my new era is to be as great as the one the MFC appears to be embarking on.

Hope all is well Nasher. Good luck with your new era.

i don't know how you all booze on during games

i'm far too apprehensive and copious alcohol consumption doesn't help

that said... might have a couple of nice gin and freshly squeezed lemon with a drop of homemade lemon cordial with a dash of elderflower tonic with lunch...

Black and Gold sausages cooked on a stolen bbq, white bowl busting bread, sauce and a couple of meth pipes before the game.

Go pies!

First grandchild just arrived.

Plenty of time for a viewing, sing the team song and back home to watch the team welcome her properly.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Western Bulldogs

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
