Great to see a young bloke get a debut in a big game. It really adds some excitement!

Well done by Jakey Lever on breaking the news to him. They look a long way off a club/ team in disrepair with poor culture as the media have painted us...Go Well Disco!

Yeh, they look like they really hate each other, don't they!!  In all seriousness, can't wait to see how Disco goes!! That video is awesome, love it.

Very well done by Lever to bring some Big Freeze exposure back to the airwaves with that MND - MMD angle. Loved it.

Must admit it provoked a little moisture around the old peepers

I’ve watched it at least 10 times already (only discovered it 15 mins ago) and after the week our Club’s had I think another 10 times will go some ways to feeling better. ❤️💙

Chopping onions at the time?

Let's wish him a Bowey-like streak to start his career...

Not to be greedy though, just 13 straight wins would be nice.

I believe the HS has told all sports reporters to now concentrate on stories about the disgusting change of initialism of MND by a Demons’ player, to signal a players first game and how it is making fun of a serious disease and to urge the AFL to penalise the MFC and the players involved.

Congratulations Daniel Turner I hope that this is the first of many many games with the mighty Dees. Stay cool and do your best young man.!!

I've asked the same question a couple of times JD and, if anybody knows, they're not saying.

I hope it's got nothing to do with that oyster who went to a disco and pulled a mussel.

Absolutely fantastic - stoked to see - well done Daniel Turner and good luck!

Nice change to see the happy and united team on the track after the week we've had off the field!  Bring on Monday.

Maybe May will have to come back via Casey if Disco turns it on? 🤔

Watching him run off after that hug from Goodwin, he has legs like tree trunks, made Goodwin look skinny, will be hard to outbody, looks very strong already. Mid season steal I would say.

I knew something was up!

Any chance Petty forward, Turner back? Or we thinking Turner in for an injured Petty, or Lever (or a dropped Tomlinson)?

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
