I don't think I've seen anyone mention this yet, but while I would prefer to see the game go ahead in Adelaide where it would be bound to have pretty close to a sell out crowd, would ND be in a fit enough state to cope with the rigors of traveling to South Australia and possibly being accommodated there as well (a return trip on the one day would no doubt be very taxing on him), which is logistically far more difficult than a short trip to the 'G'.  It would be a shame to see the event going ahead without ND in attendance.

Probably more likely to do a live cross during the event with him.  I think from an MND fundraiser perspective it’s important that it remains flexible and agile.

Why not have it played at either Geelong or Ballarat, there'll be density limits, but at least they get a crowd of the teams supporters, not just a quarter filled stadium interstate. Plus if it's played in Ballarat then they won't have to worry about adding ice to the slide water, it'll be half frozen over already.

Wrong spelling of Sadelaide? Or is it Badelaide? ?

And they want to blame Victoria for the latest outbreak after comments like that by the SA CHO.
If QB was to move I’d prefer Adelaide Oval.

Definitely no to Sydney for the QB game. Not big enough of a crowd. SA are bastards I don’t want to give it to them. WA too far to travel altho we have a bye the following week. QLD not enough interest.

What a pathetic statement. It doesn't matter what political party or State we are being run by a pack of morons.

The Optus Stadium sellout for the Dreamtime game absolutely solidifies the idea of Adelaide Oval for me. Will potentially be a fantastic and unique event. Make it happen.

Even worse is that the opposition parties at both Federal and State levels are totally useless as well.

only if they guarantee the gate

WA are equally if not more desperate

Just throwing a (probably impossible) idea out there. If NT are banning entrance from Victoria surely by the time our QB comes along the players will have spent enough time quarantined from the outside world and away from Victorian cases that we could move the game to NT. Kill two birds with one stone as it were, and at least we’re not giving up a future home game that members can go to, and we get money from the NT agreement.

Unlikely, but just a thought.

Not a dumb idea at all for me. If they can move a State of Origin game to Townsville in a sub par stadium where they have to bring in temporary stands. Not sure what others think I’m sure there’s some amazing cases to keep kicking the can down the Adelaide and Sydney road..

I would love to hear the statement directly from medical professional who made that recommendation. It just sounds idiotic, particularly when you consider the dangers of someone not catching the ball and it potentially hitting someone vulnerable (such as an infant/child, the elderly, or a disabled person). I wonder if they will have the netting up behind the goals?

Sutton hasn't ruled out crowds for Queens birthday and is encouraged by the data over the last couple of days.

When asked he could've easily shut the idea down.

so why extend the lockdown

Why not tell us what the criteria are for ending the lockdown?

Answer is they don't know and are flying by the seat of their pants.

Not sure if the players are going to give Covid to the crowd, or the crowd are going to give it to the players! ?

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
