Ummmm no chance

Richo just said on channel 7 that Langdon went off with concussion. Would have been better off playing with 17 for the last minute.

Langdon confirmed head knock. 12 days out. Will not play against Brisbane

agree to disagree ?, would be lucky to make their full strength side imo when dunkley, treloar, vandemeer, mclean, wood are fit

Yeah agree, JJ is fringe for them right now.

Of those you've mentioned though I reckon Dunkley, Treloar, Martin and Wood get back but I'm not sure if McLean or Vandermeer are best 22 for them.

Id drop weed.

But I admit I may not be very objective.

Backed the dees over 39 points.

He shanked a shot to make it 42 points. Then his next two kicks, both of which should have set up scoring shots, were dead set clangers.

Id still drop him. One tackle. And 10 half jogs and coraaling.

Four possessions is rubbish.

Sure 3 goals, but 2 were gifts. And he dropped mutiple marks that he should have swallowed

Only the two goals for the Weid.

I thought his leading and contesting were good, but I agree that he didn't have a great game.

Who replaces him though? How does Brown, for example, get back in when he had 4 touches and no goals last week and doesn't play VFL this week?

Very unfortunate.

Maybe time to bring Bowey in for a run...but I'm not a Baker fan.

Get Langers right for the 2nd half of the season.

HUGE loss.

Alex Neal Bullen has the running power to play the role, and Tom Sparrow could come in and play as a pressure half forward

I would not change The Trio.

Baker can have a run out there.

Any takers for Jones coming in?

Jones in to play the defensive wing tbat Gus has been playing.

Gus to offensive wing

Langdon out Goody said. Dam that knock must have happened late in the game.

Can Jones come in for him. His experience may help next week or do we just give Sparrow a match.

I really wish Viney could come back soon.

At half time I would have said get Ben Brown back in but credit to Weiderman. He came into the game and kicked 2 important goals.

I'm not at all keen on Positive Linger's replacement options - Baker and Jones

Uggh

But yeah - Brayshaw to the skinny wing and .....

Langdon out and Sparrow in. Sub between Baker and Bedford.

I reckon Jordon might be a good fit for a wing. Can play defensively but also seems to link up on the outside well. Sparrow to come in and play JJ's current role.

For all you Hunt, Melksham, Gus and Fritta droppers week on week, I would have to say our worst player tonight was Salem. Shall we drop him?

Salem out, he was awful

Anyone in

Hows that?

I can see a case for Baker and I wouldn't be too upset if they gave him a go. He's been working closely with Langdon and I think his running and positioning is much better. His contested work is still poor but the only way to improve it is to play him more.

At this stage though:

Out: Melksham, Langdon
In: Sparrow, Jones

Brayshaw, (80%) Jones (60%) and JJ (60%) share the wing minutes.

Sparrow plays mid and forward.

What we lose in Langdon's 2 way run we make up in the extra mid rotation.

Weid saved his spot late, but he needs to start holding a few soon. Simply has to clunk enough marks to make up for his deficiencies.

Hunt is now officially on selection watch, but whilst the backline functions so well and the VFL boys don't get to play I wouldn't change anything.

  • POSTGAME: Sydney

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.

  • CASEY: Northern Bullants

The Casey Demons travelled to a windy Cramer Street, Preston yesterday and blew the Northern Bullants off the ground for three quarters before shutting up shop in the final term, coasting to a much-needed 71-point victory after leading by almost 15 goals at one stage. It was a pleasing performance that revived the Demons’ prospects for the 2025 season but, at the same time, very little can be taken from the game because of the weak opposition. These days, the Bullants are little more than road kill. The once proud club, situated behind the Preston Market in a now culturally diverse area, is currently facing significant financial and on-field challenges, having failed to secure a win to date in 2025.

  • GAMEDAY: Sydney

It’s Game Day, and the Demons have a golden opportunity to build on last week’s stirring win by toppling Sydney at the MCG. A victory today would keep them firmly in the hunt for a finals spot and help them stay in touch with the pack chasing a place in the Top 8. Can the Dees make it two in a row and bring down the Swans?
