Out: M Brown, N.Jones

IN: B Brown Weid

Weid to play CHF up the ground. TMac on the wing for the release mark. BB for the leading forward from the square

Although i reckon were a chance against the Tiger save Jones 300 for the Roos. (that's how to sell it to him that he misses next week)

Also need to make room for Bedford he was great. Too good for VFL. Not sure who's spot he takes though

Jonesy hasn’t made it easy for selectors unfortunately. However, there is no way he will be dropped imo.

Unfair on Bedford and Chandler who have been great all preseason and dominated for Casey today.

May fritsch brown and weid all available for selection according to 7 news, good luck match committee

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww

This season gets better by the minute

In -          May,  Fritsch,  Weideman,  B Brown,  Bedford

Out  -       Petty,    M Brown,  Jones,   ANB,  Melksham

Melk only turned up in the last 10 mins.

Otger tgan a goal in tge first was not sighted.

Must make way for Weid.

And maybe briwn for brown Im afraid.

Not sure if Petty stays.

Edited by leave it to deever

OUT

Petty - good 2nd half after an atrocious 1st

M. Brown - Unlucky, tried but didn't influence the game til the last quarter

Sparrow - Melksham drops to the sub

IN

May for Petty

Fritsch for M. Brown

Weid for Melksham

B. Brown unlucky miss.

Weid and Bedford played well. Thought BBB needs another VFL run

go dees

No way Melksham gets dropped, even when he's at his best he's been like that - kind of invisible but then by the end of the match he's managed 2 or 3 goals and had a hand in a few others. A couple of those kicks across the body to find targets were sublime.

If Fritsch and May are ready, they both have to come in. Jones would be the obvious out but not happening, at least for this week.

Surely Tom Brown is mistaken - just said Fristch & May available for next week?

I get it, and as I said, it’s a pity Jones didn’t make it an easy decision. He’s been serviceable so far this year, but today was absolutely sub standard. But I still don’t think they will drop him.

Do we think jones would get dropped for his 300th that would be a ruthless call

It was a 50 point win, so as few changes as possible.

Weid for M Brown

May for Petty

Fritsch for Melksham.

These 3 are only out of the side because of injury so should come straight back in.

In: Weideman, Bedford.

Out: M Brown Jordan

If Fit: May for Petty and Fritch for Melksham.

It's a good problem to have.

This is a real conundrum !

Jones has been a wonderful servant of the club and deserves the honour of 300 games. I love the guy.

However, he was ordinary today and exposed for pace in both leg speed and disposal. If we were playing Norf next week there is no question he would retain his spot ....................... but against the best performed team of the last several years ??????????????

Anyone thinking Melksham should be dropped is clearly not considering his 9 score involvements, not to mention 3 goals.

Thats role playing perfectly

Game on. Have to think we are a massive chance now

Good so we can stop the nonsense now. Goodwin has said Jones will play next week so lets celebrate it.

This week

Weed in

Brown out

Next week -sideshow Bob in for Melky and dependent on recovery - May for Petty. when Fritta ready probably Jones makes way. At some point JJ and sparrow may get rested -although this can get done by medical sub now.

We have to play Jones as it is a landmark we havent had except for Neiter.

But 2 of Spargs, Jordon and AnB need to be considered for a rest. That is if May and Fritsch are available. Hib showed his worth immediately but the Melk will be there for 3 more weeks unfortunately.   We have shown that we always give players a group of 3 or 4 games when back in the team, but BBB needs a red carpet for his 1st block of games, he is only going to get better. The Weid just hasnt strung a few games together so if we brought him back, we are committing to 4 games for him. Id like him to prove his spot by another bag in the VFL. Brereton said that if we were a really hungry team we should be ready to chop players more readily.

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
