Out -  May, Melksham. Jetta

In -  Petty, Bedford, Hibberd

Sparrow, Jordon, Jones, Spargo could easily be dropped too.

May is potential out so maybe hibbo or petty in for him

otherwise keep the team as is

How did Brown go yesterday?

Otherwise Petty for May seems likely.

May would have to be very doubtful under concussion protocols.

I also wonder whether they reckon this game is when BBB gets a run

It's a winning team so -     Interesting times!

Hey mate, we won and we’re 4-0. It’s not a dream, I know it’s hard to believe. There’s no way there was 6 droppable players.

Out: May

In: Petty

Spargo was great. A 200IQ footballer.

Broken eye socket, Uncle Bitters. He’s definitely gone for a few weeks.

Think we may go small next week -

Out: May, Jordon
In: Hibberd, Sparrow (as a starter)

Doubt Melk gets dropped but understand the calls for him to go

Sparrow only played 17% less game time than Jordon, somehow.

Out - may jordon

In - petty brown

jordon a bit stiff after a solid first 3 games but was barely sighted today, if brown isn’t ready then jordon stays, melksham seemed to attend a fair few centre bounces which pushed jordon out.

tmac to play as the lead up chf which suits him and brown and fritsch to play deeper.

Jackson floating between ruck and forward and Gawn to float behind the ball and help out the backline with Mays absence

Yes, what happened to Jordon today? Unsighted, but he only played 56% game time. Injured?

I'm sure some people just look at the stats sheet when this thread comes each week.

The pressure that the likes of Spargo, Jordon, Sparrow, etc put on the oppostion is the difference between last year and this year.

Why would you change that? Continuity is a good thing.

Out: May, Jetta, Jordan (rest)

In: Petty, Brown, Hibberd

Sparrow stays sub.

"Melksham to Brown...?!" sounds like the cry of an overwrought commentator. Sweet.

May and Nev out. Petty and Hibbo in.

May out
sideshow in

move Tmac back.

Melksham buh-bye. In: Sparrow

May (if inj) out - Petty in.

Jordon looked a tad quiet - if tired maybe rotate him out for Chandler?

Spargo's not going anywhere, he's been fantastic this year.

Absolutely a brainy player. Sets up opportunities and tackles like a  trojan. I expect him to play all year. Beautiful foil for kossie.

They used Jordon on a wing against Blicavs after Gus went down back, but ended up preferring Jones and then had a full midfield rotation with Sparrow.

Melksham wasn’t good but I still think until Brown or Weid come in we need a proper forward more than extra mids.

I think it will be 2 out of 3 of Melk, Sparrow and Jordon with the 3rd the sub.

Petty or Hibberd depending on conditions and opponents to replace May.

Doubt this will happen but would like Melky out, Sparrow in.

May to be replaced by Petty or Hibbo depending on matchups.

  • PREVIEW: North Melbourne

Can you believe it? After a long period of years over which Melbourne has dominated in matches against North Melbourne, the Demons are looking down the barrel at two defeats at the hands of the Kangaroos in the same season. And if that eventuates, it will come hot on the heels of an identical result against the Gold Coast Suns. How have the might fallen? There is a slight difference in that North Melbourne are not yet in the same place as Gold Coast. Like Melbourne, they are currently situated in the lower half of the ladder and though they did achieve a significant upset when the teams met earlier in the season, their subsequent form has been equally unimpressive and inconsistent.

  • REPORT: Adelaide

The atmosphere at the Melbourne Football Club at the beginning of the season was aspirational following an injury-plagued year in 2024. Coach Simon Goodwin had lofty expectations with the return of key players, the anticipated improvement from a maturing group with a few years of experience under their belts, and some exceptional young talent also joining the ranks. All of that went by the wayside as the team failed to click into action early on. It rallied briefly with a new strategy but has fallen again with five more  consecutive defeats.
