Watching the game live provides a different perspective and it was hard to see a lot at the other end so this may be somewhat controversial

MAX, Langdon, Kossie, Hunt, Viney and fritta for turning his kicking around.

A shout out to Anb and Spargo who have made a difference with their fwd pressure all year.

It really was an awesome game by Max who after missing a dead set cert goal early in tge game  put it out of his mind and totally smashed the rest of the game.

Hunts efforts were huge. Most have been calling for him to be dropped ....his performance came from....I dont know where.

Langdon is just Mr get the job done, week in week out.

Without Oliver and Trac dominating like last week I think its a positive we can still win and double a teams scoring shots.

A final shoutout to Gus who was solid. Worked very hard. Constantly puts his body on the line and made a significant contribution last night.

Lever? Made a heap of errors/ blunders

One of best things about these votes is that everyone has a different perspective as to who played well which makes for great debate/banter. It’s not in the spirit of things to criticise others for what they determine to be vote-worthy performances. As “goodoil” said, 16 intercepts by Jake is not bad work for a defender. I tend to give my votes to those that I believe contributed well primarily for the entirety of the game. Pickett was my exception and I probably leaned towards his individual brilliance in giving him a vote. Several others were vote-worthy but we can’t fit them all in unfortunately.

I find it interesting that you chose to pot me instead of “goodoil” who posted Lever in the votes before me but I guess that’s a bit of a shot perhaps for my off-the-cuff comment the other week. Mate, take things with a grain of salt here. We are all on the same side. If I said anything you perceived as offensive, I apologise. OK?

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?

  • POSTGAME: North Melbourne

It was only a preseason match but the new look Demons spearheaded by new coach Steven King looked impressive as they put on a clinic against perennial cellar-dwellers North Melbourne as they cruised to an 80 point victory at Casey Fields.
