The clubs tardiness with news the last 9 month has been deplorable.

While I agree, I'm starting think it's a sign of the times. My wife and I have needed to contact/question the Club a number of times over the years and have always had a reply back in short order. She rang the Club 10 days ago with a membership question and got the recorded message and asked for a return call.... still waiting.

What is he playing up forward now ? Thought he was recruited by Cats for his run and penetration from the wing to kick to the forwards  !!

Thats what  We were after when we were after him I am certain.

I think you are vastly overplaying his role and  he is already injured.

While Rosman was ordinary last Friday I have faith he is the right recruit fir this time as we will get a decade of excellence from him on the MCG wing and occasionally cameoing up forward.

I look  forward  to him being There as one of our best when we get that 13 th flag. There is no guarantee Smith would have been.

By Feeding off the mids I meant standing outside the pack, recieving and running and kicking it to our forwards

I don't think its either/or. We could've still drafted Rosman, after picking up Smith. Rosman could've been taken under the tutelage of Smith and been primed in a year or two to take over. Smith is a vastly superior proposition for a flag tilt in the next 2/3 years, at his age and with his experience, than a new recruit. Then Rosman could've taken over and been one of our best in our 14th or 15th flags... But no guarantees on anything, Smith or Rosman. Just calculated risks... A 3rd years payment wasn't much of one in my opinion.

If he gets fit enough for AFL,, perhaps  he goes back and frees Petty up to go forward?

John Time to get over IsaacSmith.  NEver had him won't miss him !!

Mark my words Fraser Rosman will Be there  when the whips are cracking with Choco and Ooze guiding him.

We are getting a list of solid and fast running players with skills which will stand us in good stead.

Covid May have Ben Gibson only 3 days a week 2

We don't know but can ask I guess.

24-years old (D.O.B. 15/10/1996) and no, haven't seen him play. Maybe @WERRIDEE has?

I haven't read a local paper or watched a Werribee game for 2 years so I don't know anything about him I do know someone that's into Werribee I'll have to ask him what he is like.

Comments on one of the Carlton boards (he was with their VFL team, Northern Blues) refer to him as having plenty of talent, but lacking in application. Take with a grain of salt, as much as anything because that's from a couple of years ago, before he joined Werribee.

Tried Google Translate with this and it couldn't detect the language. Anyone able to interpret?

The reduction in revenue incurred during the COVID affected season of 2020 could have caused a reduction in Ben Gibson's working days from five days per week down to three days per week as well.

Ludicrous suggestion.  As if they'd ask somebody to train with us if they didn't think he could offer something to the team.  I just can't believe we or any professional outfit would do that just keep an Assistant Coach "happy".

Figuratively speaking, it may be another way to indicate that Chocko knew more than most about this recruit that he valued and respected, with an eye to further but time-appropriate recruitment to a worthy team. Chocko is too wise to merely expect recruitment solely at his maintenance of 'happiness'.

Chocko must have thought he wouldn't get a game with Riewoldt and Lynch hogging everything too

Good luck to Kye. He has some really nice attributes.

Totally agree - extremely disappointed that we do not gain pertinent knowledge directly through our website.I feel our direct marketing to our supporter base is really poor and should be looked in..I would have thought more positive news re our pre season should have had access to Goody etc and not through AFL or other media .It is our website and should be more truly utilised

Don’t forget all - it was Choco whom suggested GWS take Ricardi when he was at Werribee .Therefore he knows his players, if indeed Declase turns out to be half as good as Ricardi, I will be extremely greatful to Choco .

Surprised our club (or any club) hasn’t seized the opportunity to monetise exclusive content post-Covid  e.g add another 10 bucks onto your membership every year and get 2 exclusive news pieces every week. I think a lot of members would pay for it / would help the club pay for some of these guys that perhaps we’ve taken for granted for too long.

It smells to me like we aren’t happy with our wing options. That Baker and Harmes didn’t do what we needed and Rodman isn’t there yet. See how this bloke goes, no harm no foul.

i would say there is some truth to this.  Rosman has been tracking along nicely at practice sessions but in the B team he looked a bit lost at times.  From that i would be surprised if he was putting his hand up for selection in 1st half of season for Seniors.

Seeing both Baker and at times Harmes or Jones running around on wing we pretty clearly don't have someone that can play the role for long periods.  Hopefully Declase is the answer.

I still think Fritch should be the one groomed for the role as he has all the attributes needed for a good winger.  Whoever plays the role they are going to need to be developed specifically for the role opposite Langdon.

Seeing someone like Mitch Robinson become a gun winger makes me think we have to develop one here, really hope we are on to it!

Maybe they're keeping everything quiet now due to the "To Hell And Back" series ending up as a total bust for the season that followed ?

I think you are expecting too much from club web sites. Have a look at other clubs. They are very similar. IMO the club web sites are for info on match day info and player / club fluff pieces. 95% of the the info is positive stuff aimed at promotion of club objectives. If you expect  more you will be disappointed.

Yes but you don't sacrifice your40/50 goal scorer Gun for the wing.!!!

Fritta is far too valuable as a third or fourth option in attack.

Once Rosman gets going he will get his chance and IMO take it!

Despite all the hype around the kid, it's more likely Rosman will be a good year or two off.

Missing a year of footy will set a lot of kids back, particularly the development types like him.

Natural footballers like Bowey won't have been effected as much.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
