I think you might want to explain to your daughter how masks work OD ?; they are more designed to protect others from the wearer.

Yes they know that ht. The point was that the theater  was not observing the requirements. In the same night the tennis Centre was operating at about a third capacity.

Anyone have the guts to head to Casey to watch the game on Friday morning behind the fence even though it's closed to the public?

I might be tempted.

Ah ok, sorry OD, I think I misread your comment... but yes, I would be extremely surprised if any venue in Melbourne is allowed to operate at full capacity; they're not even allowed to do that here in Sydney yet.

I’m tempted but 25m from the boundary at a suboptimal angle, through a fence and surrounded by 2 different types of reptiles (the snakes and Richmond supporters) makes me think it’s best not to.

You're correct, the viewing is very difficult, particularly from the opposite wing and players taking shots from 30 mtrs out (although you can probably guess the result of a Maxy Gawn regulation set shot from 25 mtrs out)

Might leave it for the game at Marvel against the Dogs on 8 March if they're selling a few thousand tickets for that one.

Hopefully the game will be posted up afterwards on the Dees website so I can have a watch that arvo as I won’t be able to watch Friday morning as working.

Don't know about last year but they most certainly put the Collingwood V Melbourne 2019 practice match for viewing after the game.

Yes trying to think back to last year if they did or not.

You would think they would.

I guess we should consider ourselves lucky.

Considering I haven’t renewed yet I actually wouldn’t be against them making the stream to members only to encourage early renewal.

Given that they're bothering to stream it, I guess it's not going to be the equivalent of last year when a glorified Casey team played as 'Melbourne' and were thrashed by Essendon.

They both say there were no spare seats anywhere. My wife wanted to leave but stayed because my daughter said we will be ok with our masks on.

Fair enough it's a hard one the theatre bugs have been crawling up walls yo see some.

In Brisbane My local area  group have had a50% capacity since returning in Aug last year but will be 100 % in March this year. But Qld and Vic are different cases .

I masks were requested to be worn yo the best of my memory.

Not sure why there's an AFL Directive to not live stream this game when others are being live streamed (presumably under another AFL directive).

I could be wrong but I think it may be because it’s on the same the the females are playing and they don’t want it to affect the number of viewers etc

The wording is interesting “premium” members. Does that mean not all members get sent the link and password to watch it? Not a great look of true.

For some time I have been wondering why you would take out a membership of the Tigers / Collingwood etc. there is no way all members can get into any game. Even against the sides like Melbourne. I doubt this will happen but when Melbourne get higher than 50k members I will stop. Two reason  at 50k+ they won’t need me and it will mean I am up on the third tier of the stands that I hate. As to your question probably, or they will wait till premium members have notified their intentions then send the email to the poorer members,

I'm with you there OD. I joined in 2011 because the club needed me. Last year, me and my boy had Trident memberships, which became a $1K+ donation to the club due to COVID. Nothing from the club by way of thanks, I reckon the more members we get, the more they take us for granted.

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan.
