If that’s true, then they need a key back badly. Actually they needed another this year. Tom and Oscar could be useful to them and Tom also at the Bombers as Hurley might leave and isĀ nearly done.Ā The Giants also need A key back and even the Crows with HartiganĀ leaving. In summary their should be a few clubs interested in Tom.Ā

It’s fairly good mail @Unleash Hell. Ā Haven’t heard heard about Brodie Smith. Ā Brisbane have said that anyone outside of their finals 22 is up for grabs.Ā
Phillips from the Pies is on a good pay packet, so this one will be interesting. Ā T Mac not getting a lot of love due to his wage which I think is fairly common knowledge.Ā

He came from Fremantle and WCE don't really have much to trade with

I know Ricky is a [censored] of the highest order but god i hope we are throwing the kitchen sink at Menegola.

I rekon BB is a done deal

TMac is interesting, i am still amazed anyone would trade for him with what he is contracted for.... but stranger things have happened.

Ā

Most of it is fluff as Ricky is a born salesman, but that Menegola rumour has me very excited.

Ā

I don't think we have the money. Menegola is a very good footballer and a great wingman, exactly what we need, but either way it would be nice to see one of the Cats good players leaving.

So 3½ years then? ?

So pretty much everyone is off to Essendon then.

Most of it won't happen, as I said Chicken Nixon is a salesman.

But the Peptides need some good news.

The Nev Jetta story keeps on resurfacing despite denials all over the place. Is there anything to this story or is Nixon pulling our legs?

I have the feeling we have a surprise up our sleeves, that will be revealed when the deal is done.

Is it the Toby McLean deal you are referring to?

McLean won't be going anywhere, got a serious knee injury late in the season and will likely miss most of next, don't know why any club would trade for him

Yes it’s 3 years with performance based trigger to get 4th year. That’s about right. Ā I was very nervous about a 5 year deal. Ā

Need to reserve 5 year deals for gun mids like JV, Clarry and Trac. Ā

End 2021 - Clarry gets 5 year deal, Salem gets 4 year deal, Maxy gets 3 year deal.Ā

Needs a riddle

For those interested I am hearing that we’d be very keen to have a chat to Adam treloar. If the pies are willing to pay a decent chunk of his salary we’d see him as a fit on the opposite wing to Langdon.Ā

It has been reported that Buckley told Treloar that senior FilthĀ players wanted him gone, so it seems like he will go somewhere. Hard to see how the Pies get someone to pay his contract and get good picks given they have severed the relationship.

The situation is a disgrace on collingwoods partĀ

Ā

All these leaks don't seem to be conducive to getting Collingwood a good trade/deal out of this. Baffling situation to be fair

No one in mind, just a feeling that there is someone we are talking to who hasn't been mentioned.

We are far more professional these days in that area.

  • PREVIEW: St. Kilda

The media has performed a complete reversal in its coverage of the Melbourne Football Club over the past month and a half. Having endured intense criticism from all quarters in the press, which continually identified new avenues for scrutiny of every aspect, both on and off the field, and prematurely speculated about the departures of coaches, players, officials, and various employees from a club that lost its first five matches and appeared out of finals contention, the narrative has suddenly shifted to one of unbridled optimism.Ā  The Demons have won five of their last six matches, positioning themselves just one game (and a considerable amount of percentage) outside the top eight at the halfway mark of the season. They still trail the primary contenders and remain far from assured of a finals berth.

  • REPORT: Sydney

A few weeks ago, I visited a fellow Melbourne Football Club supporter in hospital, and our conversation inevitably shifted from his health diagnosis to the well-being of our football team. Like him, Melbourne had faced challenges in recent months, but an intervention - in his case, surgery, and in the team's case, a change in game style - had brought about much improvement.Ā  The team's professionals had altered its game style from a pedestrian and slow-moving approach, which yielded an average of merely 60 points for five winless games, to a faster and more direct style. This shift led to three consecutive wins and a strong competitive effort in the fourth game, albeit with a tired finish against Hawthorn, a strong premiership contender.Ā  As we discussed our team's recent health improvement, I shared my observations on the changes within the team, including the refreshed style, the introduction of new young talent, such as rising stars Caleb Windsor, Harvey Langford, and Xavier Lindsay, and the rebranding of Kozzy Pickett from a small forward to a midfield machine who can still get among the goals. I also highlighted the dominance of captain Max Gawn in the ruck and the resurgence in form in a big way of midfield superstars Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver.Ā

The Demons controlled the contest from the outset, though inaccurate kicking kept the Swans in the game until half time. But after the break, Melbourne put on the jets and blew Sydney away and the demolition job was complete.
