Saints and Dogs look ordinary

We would’ve beaten either of these two.

There's only one player on the ground with the surname Howard. So why do the commentators refer to him as Dougal Howard every time they call him?

Same with (Easton) Wood, (Caleb) Daniel   ...

Too much time on my hands?

evens out when compared to 'the bont' and other familiarisations

Big step up to the top four from these two teams, never been more evident

Why all the negativity? I thought that was a very watchable game. The end was brilliant.

Hope West Coke win. At least I will have picked 1 winner. I also hate the filth.

What a great game. Saints nearly stuffed it but happy for them. But they have no chance against Richmond if Ryder isn't available.

Now we just need west coast to thrash the pies and the storm to win and it will be a good weekend.

nice! tight game but lacklustre on the box; how is it at the ground?

Was high pressure and the come back by the dogs was priceless. Made for a great game for an independent supporter.
Saint supporters would have been [censored] themselves at the end.

Happy for the Saints to win however they led by as much as 4 goals with 11 minutes to go in the last quarter and hung on to win by 3 points. It reminded me of Melbourne  you just knew that the Dogs were going to make a last ditch effort somehow the Saints hung on.  Heart  wrenching stuff for  the  Saint supporters.

Hardwick was whinging again!

Said tigers were undisciplined in giving up 5 goals from frees and 50m penalties while saying the umps were 'trigger happy' and they should let the players play.

His team showed complacency and arrogance before the bounce and played that way.  Got what they deserved.

Hardwick is up there with Scott on my disliked coach list!

Yes, but what does Mrs Hardwick think about the situation? I respect her opinion more than her husband's.?

On the subject of Bruce - what the [censored] is a "hat trick" doing in the lexicon of our game?

@Rab D Nesbitt?

@Skuit?

@Wobbly Bob?

Gents, doyens, pedants,  is it appropriate language?

Yeah not sure why hat trick has come in recently. Maybe coz scoring 3 is a big deal these days?

we have brought in so many annoying Americanisms like lace out and three peat, maybe they are starting on bring in European phrases now??

Gotta feel for Ryder. Played a brilliant game.

32yo won his first final ever. Then does his hammy in the last few minutes.

You couldn't script it

Ugh this is what I was afraid of with collingwood. They have the ability to stand up and perform well when they aren't rated.

Come on west coast. By the way Nic Nat missed a few easy tackles in there.

GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

    Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

    Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

    TRAINING: Monday 16th December 2024

    Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

    A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
