I feel like I’m watching a 2nd division VFA game. Our season looks to be over.

Lol this is Southern Footy League 3s, reserves...

Goodwin at HT said we needed to be brave with the ball, not boring.

Either he didn't tell the players that, or they just were unwilling or incapable of trying it.

We didn't appear to even try to move the ball anywhere other than down the wing.

Just before the second Walters goal, Gawn took consecutive intercept marks. Both times, the only place he properly looked was the wing. Both times, he kicked to Pickett.

Our ball movement plan tonight has been appalling, absolutely appalling.

Yeah they are harder at it than us. We like to think we are good at the contest but they look significantly better than us.

Gawn having a shocker. Needed skipper to stand up when it counts.

Those goal square goals are nothing but a lack of desperation to not conceed...

Just really really poor skills, not teaming well at all.

We look like a club under pressure and lacking confidence and have actually gone backwards.

Is it coaching or the players?

It looks like the players lacking composure to me.

I'm done.

This club can seriously go and get [censored]. All the promise in the world but fail miserably once again.

I'm done with Goodwin. He can [censored] right off.

I’m with you Dazzle, they are absolutely unwatchable. Why the (censored) do we support them?

I hope those claiming they won't renew their membership aren't the ones that  blindly renew every October.

Bloody remember these moments, and start to hold this god damn club accountable for a change.

We are a combination of not very good, looking tired and a set of players that don’t appear to understand the game plan (if there is one).

We have some high quality players in Gawn, Trac, Oliver, May and Langdon but our next layer is a combo of developing, declining or not quite good enough.

This is not a side deserving of a finals spot.

Things will not change if we are not prepared to address our kicking deficiency. Cannot hit a simple target 30m in front.  Lots of players are a waste of space.

At least the season is finally over so I can stop having my day ruined by this team

i didn’t mind losing when our team was putrid but it’s hard to take now.

Goodwin just now: we were "boring" (his word) with the football and need to get courageous, and we need to defend to the required level.

Let's see whether we've done anything to work on those two things.

Zero for 2

Embarrassing performance. Twice in the third quarter Maxie took an uncontested mark in the backline and twice the ball came straight back after he disposed of it with first a kick and then a handball.

If we have no plan or strategy to clear the ball from the backline then what hope do we have to plan and kick goals. Oh , I forgot, we have kicked just two in three quarters.

Time to watch current affairs or documentaries because they are more exciting and interesting than watching Goody's dees.

To Pickett?! It was just bizarre!

As much as I don’t rate Goodwin how have we recruited so many sub standard players

I thought it hurt to be shown up by the Swans, but to be chasing the Dockers around like headless chooks? Its a special kind of hell. Reserved for only the worst.

Think back friends, what did you do to deserve this? We must have done something, because there's no other reason for this.

Unfortunately being thoroughly out coached again!

chaotic team selection!

Lockhart should have been picked, at least he stays down!

We’re ready for another rebuild. Midfield needs a complete overhaul. Forward line needs a complete overhaul. Coach needs to change. Enough of this [censored]!

If only AFL games were awarded to the team with the most missed one handed tackles...we would be undefeated and headed for a flag

Yeah I'd say that's it. This club is not changing, this little setup has run it's course. The time, emotion and copious amounts of money invested is seriously adding up to di*k all. Get wrecked Melbourne

Why have we recruited so many players who cannot execute skills in the wet compared to other teams.  Petracca, Oliver and May, the only exceptions.
I thought last week was the worst performance of the year but tonight is looking good to usurp it.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
