Maybe hawthorn arn't too serious with their selections but they are not tanking the game. They are not good enough. Chow chow.

Wonder if we will see one or two players leaving the hubs for Port Douglas or similar as their club's chance fall away.

I suspect that yachting in the Whitsundays will figure highly in the postseason activities

For a bit of light hearted reading fun , go to the Hawks Big Footy autopsy thread. Their game day thread was a hoot. Calling on Burgoyne to give it away and questioning the Clarkson coaching.

Lets hope and pray that the Hawks demise is terminal.

Just need the Eagles to [censored] Essendon and it will be one hell of a good Tuesday night in lockdown.

West Coast away from their security blanket, no certainties.

By coincidence i've ended up watching most of the crows games this year and they've looked ok for a 0-13 team. Hate their fans and haven't liked much about their club over the last while but couldn't help being happy for a lot of those players (I'll never be happy for tex) and Nicks. Go WC i guess here... wish both could lose

Weird thing about Hawthorn losing is that’s there’s so many people hoping they fire their coach so their club can sign him.

I reckon number 8 for essenscum meant that poke in the face on Darling.

Either that or he is so incompetent that he shouldn’t be in an AFL team. If you knocked someone over that late there’d be a 50m penalty but a whack in the eye is ok it seems.

As soon as I post that Essendon kick three straight goals

Some of the marks they're paying tonight are going about half as far as Mitch Brown's kick saturday night.

To demonstrate just how wacky Bruce has got with his rhetorical questions, here’s a breakdown of everything from the Carlton v Collingwood match on Sunday.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
