My heart couldn't cope that last quarter!!

STEVEN MAY!!!!

CHRISTIAN PETRACCA!!!!!

I can't believe it.  I'm exhausted.

What a massive, massive win for this club.  We stuck at it all night and beat a prospective Top 4 side with a gutsy win.

I'm so proud of the club.

Trac and May absolutely massive.

I love this club.

Tracc is a star....Clarry epic last quarter.

I'm not sure how they won as the umps would not pay us a thing in that last quarter but i'll take it.

May and Trac won that

Correct. We lose by a fair margin without these two.
We looked horrendous for at least half of the game.

We just beat a top 4 contender with about 8 passengers.

That could define our season.

Led by AVB and includes Spargo, Hannan and Jones who had the wrong jumper on,

Goodwin is full of [censored]. I didn't recognise that brand of football at all.

Also, for all those worried about match ups and so froth:

The recruit of the season, Dan Butler, didn't hit the scoreboard and had minimal impact.  What an effort from the back line as a whole.

We've lost so many close ones to the Saints in recent times - makes this so much sweeter!

Would be a hard job coaching when rules do a full circle in 2 weeks

how many times did we gang tackle and the ball was dropped and the saints run off with it, two weeks ago it was holding the ball.

I think that's the best defensive game I've ever seen by a dee. May is a beast!

I'd happily trade another 4 first round draft picks for May.

Holy (censored), this man can seriously play.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
