May is unbelievable. Just brilliant.
A much better half. I am glad they took Oliver off Bontempelli as that matchup was not working.

Playing so poorly but in front   thanks to Steven May in my view

Much, much better quarter there.  Our ball movement was better, as was our pressure, and we took our chances.

Shout out to the back line.  At this stage, May and Lever are giving Naughton and Bruce an absolute bath.  Tomlinson has been pretty good too!

Mids started to get on top and Preuss his looking better as the game goes on.

Excellent turnaround!

Hopefully that goal gets Oliver going, was having the worst game of his career up until that point.

I love what Fritsch and Preuss are doing.

SMASH THEM IN THE 2ND HALF

May has been very very god

Agreed, his past month has been phenomenal.

Gotta come out breathing fire after the break.

Make no mistake, being up by 7 points is a great achievement. Doggies are a tough team, and we're matching them.

May has been huge for us.

Need more from Spargo and Pickett, much better quarter though.

My phone just ran out of batteries.

Just put some sauce on it and you should be fine!

seedy half but half to take it

Tomlinson and May been very good

Oliver working into it

I can't stress just how bad Tmac is

We simply can't play him next week

I don't care who it is as long as it's not him

Tmac is done - the coaches have to see it surely

Hilarious when you hear a spur of the moment nickname that you know will stick for the rest of the player's career. FRITSCH MAGNET!!!

so good to see Fritta slot that.

Sign of a good team to play pretty badly and still be in front.

Got the feeling this will go down to the wire and will be decided by who converts the best.

Anyone know if the Dogs are a good last quarter team this year?

If May is not an AA defender, I’ll eat my underwear

Well Andy is already supposed to be eating his scarf, so why not join the party?

Garry Lyon again ?

Great quarter from Fritta but Pickett was quiet.

May and Lever working hard.

Need to move the pill quicker into our forward line.

The Fritsch magnet!

Being smashed in the middle.  They just walk out with it.  Fix this and they will struggle to keep up.  May has Been brilliant

Stonewall Jackson defence so far

Pruess 18 hitouts to English 5.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

When looking back at the disastrous end to the game, I find it a waste of time to concentrate on the final few moments when utter confusion reigned. Forget the 6-6-6 mess, the failure to mark the most dangerous man on the field, the inability to seal the game when opportunities presented themselves to Clayton Oliver, Harry Petty and Charlie Spargo, the vision of match winning players of recent weeks in Kozzy Pickett and Jake Melksham spending helpless minutes on the interchange bench and the powerlessness of seizing the opportunity to slow the tempo of the game down in those final moments.

  • CASEY: Sandringham

The Casey Demons rebounded from a sluggish start to manufacture a decisive win against Sandringham in the final showdown, culminating a quarter century of intense rivalry between the fluctuating alignments of teams affiliated with AFL clubs Melbourne and St Kilda, as the Saints and the Zebras prepare to forge independent paths in 2026. After conceding three of the first four goals of the match, the Demons went on a goal kicking rampage instigated by the winning ruck combination of Tom Campbell with 26 hitouts, 26 disposals and 13 clearances and his apprentice Will Verrall who contributed 20 hitouts. This gave first use of the ball to the likes of Jack Billings, Bayley Laurie, Riley Bonner and Koltyn Tholstrup who was impressive early. By the first break they had added seven goals and took a strong grip on the game. The Demons were well served up forward early by Mitch Hardie and, as the game progressed, Harry Sharp proved a menace with a five goal performance. Emerging young forwards Matthew Jefferson and Luker Kentfield kicked two each but the former let himself down with some poor kicking for goal.
Young draft talent Will Duursma showed the depth of his talent and looks well out of reach for Melbourne this year. Kalani White was used sparingly and had a brief but uneventful stint in the ruck.

The Demons return to the scene of the crime on Saturday to face the wooden spooners the Eagles at the Docklands. Who comes in and who goes out? Like moving deck chairs on the Titanic.

It's Game Day and there are only 5 games to go. Can the Demons find some consistency and form as they stagger towards the finish line of another uninspiring season?
