The constant booing by Port supporters is so annoying. Same as West Coast supporters.

The remind me of theย Blue Oyster Cult song "The Subhuman".

Well there you have it. 3/4 time and Portโ€™s pressure rating has been elite.

Officially no excuses for the turdย sandwich served up last week.

This!

Iโ€™m really glad for the Portโ€™s pressure. It leaves us with less than zero excuses.

Usually yes, but Iโ€™m personally loving hearing any noise at the footy this year

ย

The Bulldogs in front of a hostile home crowd put in a very brave performance.

Last week against the same side we did exactly the opposite.

When do we get to look forward to regular top performances?

Since 1964 the suffering continues.

Why us?

We beat Carlton by a few points.ย ย  The Dogs lost to them by 9 goals.

Almost as if footy is an unpredictable sportย ย  (except for Melbourne sucking since 1964, agreed there).

Still canโ€™t believe we picked Toumpas over Wines. ย It haunts us.
ย

And again last night to see Jackson Macrae (who is an absolute star) deliver a 28 possessions game at 85%ย efficiency. ย He was at pick 6. His under 18 year was exceptional where he showed his skill, evasiveness, goalkicking and ability to win the footy. ย

Wines is exactly the type of player we donโ€™t need. We have half a dozen of his type. And aย month ago he was in a rut, just like Clarry is now. Clarryโ€™s disposal has been terrible but itโ€™s not a career problem, I suspect itโ€™s mental. A bit of confidence and weโ€™ll see him back to his best.ย

And as a side note,ย what we recruited Toumpas to be is exactly the type of player we still need. Someone to play on the opposite wing to Langdon and perform consistently. We botched the pickย on the wrong player but hindsight is 20:20.

ย

Kicking skills of both teams pretty woefulย

Hipwood one of the softest players in the comp.

Tigers kicking skills are ELITEย

Tigers pressure and tackling is ELITE

Tigers concentration and intensity is ELITEย

Not sure how someone like Goodwin could see that and not question his ability to coach and the Dees players pathetic skills. ย

Two thoughts come to mind following that game.

The first is maybe that 4 day breaks are a factor: Brisbane was off a 4 day break, Richmond had 6. Although to counter that, Brisbane generated plenty of scoring shots, so it wasn't all one-way traffic.

The second is that the comp remains very even. Brisbane were pretty poor in most facets after quarter time. Pretty much every side has had a stinker of a loss so far this year. Indeed, every club except GWS has lost at least one game by 30+ points this year (side note: a week ago, there were three other clubs who with GWS had not lost a game by 30+ points. They were Brisbane, Carlton and...wait for it...us).ย

What are peoples thoughts on Witherden?

A very dangerous player to have on your team, thinks he is an elite kick and often fails to pull it off. Don't rate him.

Noticed he had 19 touches, all kicks, with DE of 73.7%. Didn't catch the game, so curious as to his foot skills.

I know it's easy to be swept up in week to week knee jerking, but the quality of that Richmond win signalled a clear division between them and the rest, perhaps only West Coast on there day.ย

I think we still are in that 2018-2019 period and the newcomers (Bris, Port, StK) are a clear rung (or 2) behind, which to me feels like almost the signing death warrant for holding my interest over the next few months. Stuff watching a smarmy Cotchin winning again, change the channel!

They're missing players as well, that's a club that knows how to perform almost every week. No excuses.

Richmond have very clear expectations on players that come in and their ability to convey the message across the whole playing group is exceptional.

Every single player on their list can come in and play their role. You can't help but tip your hat to them, they have raised the bar

It will be interesting to see how the Power perform after a 4 day break. Was the Dees performance off a 4 day break just an aberration?

The Dees are an aberration

No excuses for what they dished up

Ben Brown just hurt his knee
