Other than May, Max, Hibberd, Jack and Trac and a special mention to Lockhart you can take your pick on who you want dropped but Fritter, Hannan, Picket, Jackson and TMac can all go . Basically that's our forward line and Weeds also. They all as far as I'm concerned should be playing netball and still would't even get the round ball. Most of this team are soft co..s. Jones is also finished. Sick and tired of these blokes jogging around by themselves with no attempt to assist. Make a statement MFC or your doomed to remain as could have beens.

Dropping some players might make a small, one off statement, but as has been the case for 18 months, it's not going to fix us.

Only proper change across our coaches and players, will fix us.

(But I'd start with dropping TMac and telling him he doesn't get gifted another game until he earns it).

You start with Harmes and Brayshaw, then fritsch and Hannan, work your way to tmac and Jones.

Some pretty bad body language on the bench Jones Brayshaw and Goodwin there is something going on there

Bring in Bedford, Jordan, Bennell, Rivers, tomlinson.

I'm sick of seeing same names producing the same crap

I don’t know if I’d leave Brayshaw out just play him where he played so well in 2018 in the centre .

Agree.

But a few have to go:

Jones - too slow

Harmes - out of form

Hannan - when he is bad, he is awful

Pickett - not ready

In:

Rivers

Bennell

VDB poor skills but at least gives 100% aggression

ANB

Dropping 5 or more rarely works!

TMac on borderline

I thought Lockart was pretty good. He showed a lot more competitiveness than people on 7 times his salary !!!!

The damage was done when the ball turned over around 1/2 fwd, centre because of poor decision making/skills not AFL level. The resulte was a grey swarm going down the ground and the defenders got overwhelmed.

Tom Sparrow can play so let’s play the kid at half back. Harmes on ball.

Vanders for Jones.

Fritsch to play wing/forward, Gus out.

Oscar - useful against slow moving sides but just badly exposed against teams that move it, go back to Smith.

Lets play the kids even if they can't play that well. Need to look to next year and get games into these youngsters. The kids from Port killed us plus Boak. No use playing the same blokes that keep on doing the same pathetic things. I'd rather us lose with at least kids having a go.

There are a few others who are in that same boat too.  We've got a fit list - give others a run and show some of these guys that they need to perform to keep their spot.

I think I want TMac, Brayshaw and Jones out, to be replaced with some sort of group of Bennell, vandenBerg, Tomlinson, ANB and Hunt.

That's before we consider fitness issues with the next game in just six days and another one four days after that.

I'd give Harmes Brayshaw's spot in the middle first, before dropping him. Don't drop him on the back of a game he played in defence. He's not a defender. Goodwin should know that by now.

Out - McDonald brothers.

Ditto and that's just a start but:

Tom - plodder. Is it a coincidence we played pretty well without him?

Oscar - two shocking games, one of them particularly cringe worthy against a first gamer

Hunts finished mate.

I'd be getting games into Bedford instead. At least he shows defensive pressure unlike Hunt. Hunt is like Hannan.  Kicks your 2 or 3 goals one week then goes missing 3 weeks in a roe and averages about 5 touches..

I would definitely pay Sparrow back.

He's not a natural mid.

Harmes is a better bet as a mid/tagger and should have gone to Boak.

Tommy Mac's career is over...I hope everyone can see this now.

He's been shot for the last 18 months and no amount of wishing will change that.

Injury or form, it doesn't matter. I can't see him coming back from here.

He was the fresh player, didn't have the short turn around...

Hannan unfortunately puts one arm out way too often for my liking.

He won't straight line the ball...has the talent but won't use it.

Hunt was done the night he got knocked out...he's never come back from that.

I don't know who we can bring in but all of TMac, Brayshaw, Harmes, Jones should be dropped. Hannan, Fritsch, Pickett and Oliver all on thin ice.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
