Jeremy Howe Takes Swipe at Dees

The problem with people who think they are funny is that they are not. Leave the jokes to the professional comedians Howe.

Thankfully his trophy cabinet is as bereft of premiership medals as he suggests the MCG was of crowds during his Melbourne playing days.

True, but one of the funnier ones on here to be fair.

That is ok with the comments you came out with Jeremy.  The thing is that  the Melbourne boys are competitive as all the clubs are. they do not forget certain comment at the club.

The  problem is that they won't forget it and will use it for motivation.  It will be just what we need.  It could cost  the wobbles a spot in the eight in the end of things.  I wouldn't be too disappointed  if you injured yourself somehow.

You played 100 games for us and became an automatic MCC member for the achievement. You don't get that from a feral football club as the one you are playing for.

Meh, cheap shot. Beat the pies on QB and make sure he knows all about it. ?‍♂️

So why did he keep Jack Watts?

He didn't, as far as can see  Roos cut Watts some slack, on a few occasions,  because of Jack W's talents.

Roosy and PJ were unhappy with JW's efforts in 2016,  and when at Edihard stadium, watts was dragged and dropped,  'iirc',  for a time.  Watts came back with better attitude/form,  gaining an extension on contract, until after Roosy was finished.

2017 was it for  'JW',  and really should have been much,  much earlier than that,  in hindsight.   We would have gotten a better trade for him, if offered up earlier..?   If after a season under Roos, (2014),  we would have gotten a good deal for 'JW'.

This would have put us right back into the early 2014 National Draft.  https://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/ft_drafts?year=2014&t=N&s=P

I’m all for it. Just a bit of cheeky banter. I prefer it to dull, “everybody’s great”, p.c bollocks.

Took the kids to training at Casey when Howe was still with us.
The players were great with the kids with an exception.
Yep, Jeremy Howe.
Far too good to give any kid there the time of day.
Really stood out to me as a phlog.

Jack Watts and Colin Sylvia on the other hand were 1st class.

Howe was given every chance when at MFC. He was and still is  a selfish player who would rather play where he wants to rather than be a fully fledged input at a Club....  I have no time for him or his sadistic comments.

If you are not with us, you are against us. Im sure it was Jest, but i love my club and if you are taking swipes at it i will get my backup regardless if its  a joke or not.

TBH not sure why people are outraged at people been a bit peeved off over the comments... It’s a Collingwood season launch, the question has nothing to do with Melbourne as a footy club, he left the club 5 years ago. Cheap pot shot at a club that gave him a chance in the AFL and if it wasn’t for us who knows where he would be, certainly not running around in front of “mass crowds” at Collingwood.

Must run in the family because cousin Matthew Wade is a crap bloke that the Aussie team don’t like.

Let the return home to Perth jungle drums beat ?

He’s a decent footballer. He’s also an absolute div. You’d find more intelligence in most peoples stools.

please chook, don't insult bar stools. have spent many a wondrous time on a bar stool.

Well to be fair, Howe does play in front of a ' thick' crowd each week. He plays for Collingwood .

This is actually pretty funny. I can't believe people on here are getting upset.

Thats cos hes not saying it in a humorous way

He hates our club.   He ran like a coward to the biggest team in the country cos he wants to be Mr Hollywood.  Total clown.

Can not stand the bloke... Totally unnecessary comments

And yet the smallest Melbourne crowd has twice the IQ and far less gaol time than the largest Collingwood crowd

What a top bloke!

Taking a swipe at a team he has good mates at, and the only team that took a chance on him and gave him a shot at AFL when he was just a scrubber down in Tassie.

Heheh that’s quite a funny quip! Can’t wait to beat them this year ?

yeah I'm also one of the few on here that just finds this a funny light burn. Also kind of true....

I can see why others are taking offense and agree with all the sentiments directed to Jeremy. But he's also kind of right I've been to every Melbourne MCG game for the past 15 years and there's definitely been some empty stands during those years we shall not speak of.

Show him a photo of his face when Joe Daniher was awarded mark of the year in 2017.  Priceless :-)

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.

From the outset, the Casey Demons lacked any spring in their steps. They were out-hustled and out-bustled and finally outplayed by the Brisbane Lions by 38 points on their home turf in perfect conditions at Casey Fields.
