The Roar online has us 13th

Featured Replies

If any of you bother to read the online Roar, they have an article comparing Bombers and Demons. The end result we are 13th and bombers 12th.

Not much love in the artlicle for Viney.

I think they are mistaken but I would read your views   Go Dees 2020 !!

Good. It is up to the entire MFC to prove these articles wrong

Nobody outside the MFC (apart from Cam Mooney) rates or trusts us after last years shambles, i wouldn’t

So it is entirely up to us

Agreed, it's up to the players to prove them all wrong.

Kane Cornes does and he is one of our harshest critics.

Our biggest problem is the first 2 games. We have to win one of them otherwise the bad shackles may start to appear.

Probably the hardest start in the competition given the ladder predictions in the Hun but if we win both, lid off.

I don’t think 0-2 would be a complete disaster with our draw as long as we don’t get smashed by 10 goals in each match

Yes it is and we should aim to win both

burgess has taken these boys to another level, they now must believe in themselves to get the job done.

Agreed, SWYL. Run the weagles off their feet.

If we know one thing, we will be fit for round 1.

Can I throw in, the coaching staff need to be more than one dimensional.

advice within the coach’s box needs to happen. Whether that advice is acted upon, who knows, but at least they should be putting options or proposals.

even if we are winning by a few goals, not to sit back and watch, and let it happen. But make it happen!!

Loving the negative articles on the Dees. Love it, keep them coming.

Someone tell 'The Roar' we have pretty  much a fully fit list to choose from , the total opposite to the start of 2019.

Oh and we added elite and electrifying talent in Pickett,  LJ and Bennell to a list that won two finals 18 months ago.

Spot on.

The positivity will evaporate, Goody will get a bit nervous, and Ross will suddenly be thirsty for coffee.

Who knows, the club might be turning another leaf.  The ditching of the co-captaincy and leadership group pscyhobabble might be small signs that the club is finally doing things their way.  Failing is OK, but be bold and do things our way.  Get inspired by others, but don't go the easy copy cat.  The well worn path doesn't last.  In 2015, the smart folk (Hardwick & TiGeR) were watching how the bulldogs were going about things; while the simpletons were trying to photostat Hawthorn who had just three-peated.

If Goodwin feels the pressure in 2020, like I think he will, instead of giving him the flick, just make him a long-term no.2; which means Richo or Ross get a 4 year gig as El Supremo.

Yes he does, my apologies I forgot to add him

We deserve them

We were a complete joke last year, but contrary to what Maxh5 says, i think Pert is driving most of this change. He knows he needs a good product on show before he can grow the Club.
The players drive this club ultimately.
first step: get them Super fit Physically and Mentally

challenge them hard

that is what this video is all about

Last year the difference between 7th and 14th was 3 wins (12 v 9).

2018 there was 1 win between 7th and 12th (13 v12).

2017 the gap from 7th to 12th was 2 wins (12 v 10).

Positions are more than likely going to be very close in that middle range of the ladder, possibly all the way from 4th to about 14th.

Keep that in mind if you get too caught up in predictions. Or do you own and try to work out where to put teams like Hawthorn, Essendon, Port Adelaide, North Melbourne and Fremantle.

Barely means anything, but I’m also glad that across the AFL media in general, the team are being left to pump their own tyres.

I refuse to buy into the “0-2 = disaster” line of thinking though. For one, it’s two games out twenty-three, for gawd’s sake. And secondly, I don’t want to spend almost an entire season thinking the whole thing’s futile.

Better than 17th

Very good.  Lets talk ourselves down, outside the club, in public.  And then we'll come out full of steam and clobber them all.

Let the talkers talk, and well do the walking.

Agree in totality W4tA .!

Let em talk [censored] all night, as far as i'm concerned.   I want them to place us low.

Who cares????

Agree with the early games comment.
A couple poor loses and their confidence will be shot and that .... Will be that.

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? At the time, Gold Coast and Brisbane were the competition’s early pace-setters, the flavours of the month, and the prospect of the Demons toppling both within the course of a fortnight seemed remote. Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
