Injury List 2020

That's a bit exciting about Jackson!

Never thought I'd be saying this after the first few rounds of the season, but we will really miss having Hibberd in the side if he does miss this week.  I think it would be sensible to give him this game off so he can be cherry ripe for the Freo match, but he has been terrific since making his way back into the side.

Makes his effort in coming back on and laying a crucial tackle even more valiant.

I must have missed something - what is the nature of Angus' foot tendon injury?

Was it an in game impact or some chronic strain?

Also any inside info on how Jackson has been training and / or scratch matches?

Round 18: Injury List

Burgo's replacement seems pretty bullish around us making finals with Jones' prognosis.

I'd have termed it Season rather than 1 week. Even if we do make the finals.

In the 'Captain's Run' Gus said his foot is a lisfranc injury.  Says he heard it pop in the Sydney game and it would have been better to not have come back on.

Expects to be ready to run at the start of the preseason.

Much much  better than navicular.

This is a relief. I was worried that he'd miss a chunk of it given the duration.

We've had a really good run with injury this year compared to other sides as well as our previous seasons.

Really hope it continues next year as it should allow us to once again contend for the 8.

The lisfranc injury sounds familiar, I thought that was the one that Mitch Clark had with us (hopefully if ti is it's a significantly lower severity).

Dees

Brayshaw ?

Jones ?

Bombers

Mcgrath ?

Fantasia ?

Heppell ?

Apart from these blokes, both teams have probably best part of best 22 available.  I think we left Sparrow Harmes Jackson out due to maintaining winning team

We’ve had a fairly good run with injury this year. The best we’ve had I  a fair few years.

Im not sure if I should feel good about this, or very annoyed about sitting firmly in the middle of the road given the circumstances.

Just a shoulder clean out for Clarry. Shouldn't cause him too much grief over the pre season.

How many off-season surgeries do we have this year?

Apparently had a second shoulder reconstruction, first one didn't repair as they would have liked.

Played the majority of the year in pain with it.

So which one is it?

I really wish there was more transparency from the club in regards to injuries and in particular post season surgeries. Afterall post season surgeries were blamed for our poor 2019 season.

I'm not suggesting that detailed medical histories be released but it would be nice to be reassured that we are not going to go into the preseason as the walking wounded.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

It’s late February. Two teams widely predicted to finish near the foot of the AFL table in 2026 face off against each other in sweltering 30-degree heat deep in outer suburbia in a match simulation with fresh new faces and uneven team numbers. There are no nearby sheep stations on offer; the result promises nothing more than bragging rights for the winner. Nevertheless, the loser appears hopelessly adrift, whereas the other seems to have found its footing after a couple of years of struggle – perhaps a hint at bigger things to come?
