Whispering_Jack 31,368 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 The Demons need a line-breaker. Line-breaker Lachlan Ash rising up AFL draft boards 5 Quote
ChaserJ 5,192 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Would be happy with either Ash or Young with pick 3. 2 Quote
Moonshadow 17,678 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Now GCS have picks 1 and 2, this guy becomes a good option at 3 1 Quote
ChaserJ 5,192 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Has made a reasonable fist of playing on ball in the back end of the season, so not just an outside dasher, has a few strings to his bow. 1 Quote

RalphiusMaximus 6,112 Posted August 26, 2019 Posted August 26, 2019 Quote if Ash develops the contested side of his game further and starts hurting opponents more by foot, he can feature inside the first round of this year's draft. Sounds like a question about his kicking. Pass. The last thing we need is to bring in another Grimes on HB. Quote

The last thing we need is to bring in another Grimes on HB. This article was written in April, so I think that was referencing an area to improve on for the season ahead. No idea if he has or not. I quite like Knightmare’s espn reports as they often spend a bit of time on the player’s flaws and don’t just claim every 17yo in the next Chris Judd like most draft articles. Quote
SidVicious 133 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 I like Ash. It would burn me up if we didn't get him. 1 Quote
MikeAlphaTango 150 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 https://afl.draftcentral.com.au/player/lachlan-ash/ This website has excellent write ups for those who are interested. Couple of clangers early in the game but what I like is he appears to set up a lot of the play when Vic Country make their comeback. The kicks to Kemp and Serong late in the game is exactly what we've been missing. 4 Quote

Carn dees 108 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 DRAFT ANALYSIS: "A natural-born leader with elite kicking abilities, Ash makes the right decisions with ball-in-hand and is a damaging player coming off half-back." ? 2 1 Quote
Sydee 4,684 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Has some nice attributes but he reminded me a bit of a short Sam Frost TBH. The other players he reminds me of is Daniel Bell for some reason Likes to run and carry but sometimes didn't look like it was to his or the teams advantage - also disposal was a bit hit and miss Small sample so I'm sure the recruiters know a hell of a lot more - personally would think he is a better option than Serong 2 Quote

JakovichScissorKick 771 Posted October 18, 2019 Posted October 18, 2019 Looks like a one trick pony. AFL teams would work him out in two seconds. Love his pace and willingness to take the game on though. Quote

spirit of norm smith 16,679 Posted October 24, 2019 Posted October 24, 2019 Has the pace and style we need. Prefer Young, Kemp and Serong though. If Ash was there at 8 and all of the above were gone, Ash would be a good selection. 1 Quote
dazzledavey36 56,347 Posted November 15, 2019 Posted November 15, 2019 (edited) Out currently having a coffee with some of the under 16's Murray Bushrangers development coaches to start planning for our up coming pre season. Just got told that Demon recruiting officials are up in the North East Border and Golburn Valley region to interview a couple of bushies boys. Lachlan Ash will most likely one of them and along side Ben Kelly and Cam Wild. Edited November 15, 2019 by dazzledavey36 4 1 Quote
