We are watching a team that is depressed and embarrassed about themselves

Unwatchable is the word that comes to mind.

Must be some positives there ... thought Lever is looking better each week, and showing why we got him, Lewis was good until injured, Brayshaw looking more like the player of last year, and didn't mind Spargo up the field a bit. He's one player who generally manages to do something with it and hit a target.

Apart from that though, struggling.

If that is correct BA then the contrast of output / quality is astonishing between quarters.

Goody looks completely lost for answers in the box and shows no emotions at any point.  I would be furious at some of the passages of play as a team and from many individuals tonight.

Get to the bench an attempt to at least show them / highlight where they are going wrong immediately while the errors are still fresh and highlighting the alternative ways available to improve as a team and individual.

He should be too embarrassed to go there and show to both the viewers just what a deer in the headlights looks like..

Poor efforts all round but at the end of the day he has to cop his share of blame.

You do realise , in a season of poor efforts and poor teams, this is the worst side we've fielded all year. what did you expect?

No we're watching a team that simply does not give a [censored]

That half has put the question about sacking Goodwin to bed. He simply has to be signed up for life. Wasn’t alive for the Norm Smith era but surely Gooody is the equal of, if not better!

Yes, but hard to see what the alternatives were. And not helped by the players further up the ground not having the skills or vision to adjust how they deliver inside 50.

Wow.  Haven't watched us intently for weeks because of how [censored] we are.

Turned it on tonight ten minutes into second quarter.  Same as usual.  Gawn dominating.  Frost busting his [censored].  Fritsch doing his best.  Petracca trying, but ultimately failing.  ANB being not good enough, scoreless quarter (happens all the time that one), zero clean chains of play, comical misfortune...yada yada yada...we all know the drill.

As crap as I have ever seen us in recent times.

Decimated by injury, decimated by lack of confidence, decimated by lack of talent, decimated by coaching strategy, decimated by lack of crowd numbers and decimated by completely [censored] up a massive opportunity to shine when we had our chance this year.  I wasn't as bullish as others at the start of the year.  At worst 8-9 wins I thought.  At best 12-13.

But this [censored].?

“Another tough night tonight guys. There are parts of our game that are slowly coming together but there’s still lots to improve upon. We’re frustrated. You’re frustrated. But we are working really, really hard, and we’ll be doing everything we can to get a win for you to finish the season.”

Hogan has not been sighted all game

Yeah was waiting for it. So all the players we picked are shooting the lights out at Casey? No they aren't, yet they've been picked nonetheless. The options are Preuss and Keilty, obviously. Both massive busts this year (as are the ins we named anyway), yet either of these players would've kept some structure to the team.

It really is a no-brainer that one of them had to play. For mine it's Preuss as there's more upside and a relief for Gawn. In fact, Gawn could've played forward and Preuss to ruck in a familiar role, which he is actually smashing at Casey.

It does kind of look that way, it’s like their interest moves up and down throughout the game. But then the moment the ball gets out that’s where it all just drops and in their own mind they think “here we go again”.

But our players are just super lazy right now, I understand things really suck but how about a little bit of personal pride?

Why were Stretch ...anb and spargo picked......10 touches bw them?

Its not their poor performance but more the prediction of it.

Gold, and probably more accurate than you might have hoped.

our players are always looking for the easy out, instead of moving the ball quickly they are looking to switch or go sideways, often backwards. three or four kicks back and forth before we turn the ball over usually where we started or closer to their goal. they do not play as a team, they do not move away from each other to take their players away so as to open up territory for players down the field to run into. we are are rabble without a cause.

I bet your around 90% accurate there. Its really a spin of the wheel of ****ty cliches at this point anyway.

The Dogs reigned supreme in 2018 with an inaugural AFLW premiership cup and the Demons matched this feat by winning the cup as the Season 7 2022 champions.Meggs wasn’t born when the Doggies won their first VFL premiership cup against the Demons in 1954. Covid prevented many Demons fans from legally witnessing the victorious 2021 AFL Grand Final cup performance between the Demons and the Bulldogs, but we all grin when remembering those magnificent seven third quarter goals.
