I'm a Gawn fan, but I'm surprised by both the commentators underestimation of his game and the lack of votes thus far.ย  He was definitely in ourย top 6 players.ย  The problem he has is that he needs to be at least twice as good as his direct opponent to be noticed.ย  Today he scored 101 Fantasy points (Hickey got 57).ย  Gawn took 4 contested marks (the equal most on the ground) and had 5 tackles and 10 contested possessions. He was treated pretty harshly by the umpires again and Campbell Brown made the laughable observation that Hickey took the points! He wasn't our best player today, but he was certainly very significant in most of our good bits of play.

Some of Petracca's family must be giving him votes. Or were theyย people who didn't watch the game?
