Too fat, too slow can't kick. I'm calling it right now BUST! Drop him and trade him.

THOUGHTS?

Trade him for a used plastic blunt knife with old pie and tomato sauceย on it.

ย

Agree. Another jack watts - lazy, only good when itโ€™s fed to him or team is on top and has it won already - trade him while we can

In the review on monday in front of the team show the moment in that final term where he didn't go hard enough for the ball.ย

Or give him one more chance play him out of the square next week. We all know he can mark the ball really well. Maybe point out to him DeGoey has flown past him and I really do not care you are mates with Ben Simmons.ย

Pathetic display. Just not a serious footballer. They can send him to the gulags.

Agree with most of the comments here. ย Nightmare of a game.

I am sticking fat though.

Had a shocker that is for sure. I think he is the type who can excel ifย we have control of the pill. If we donโ€™t he struggles. Not sure what his problem is, he has all the tools.ย

Don't draft kids with child bearing hips like Toumpas and Petracca.

Tracc had a mare. That's how big his hips are.ย

Time to go. Trade. Name me another successful top 2 Pick who needed a vfl stint and then became an elite player. Doesn't happen.

I would play him in the backline. If it doesnโ€™t work out then trade for a set of steak knives.ย

Treats every game like parkย footy with his mates. ย Needs to have someone like Todd Viney pin him up against a wall and ย be told a few home truths from 2 inches away.ย Get angry son! You can be everybodyโ€™s buddy off the field. On it, you need to be a dead set hard nosed bastard that physically intimidates theย opposition.

It won't work out.ย

Going backwards.ย

Another player who needs a rocket up his ...Arsenal.ย

Too nice. ย Had to exert physical side ofย the game. ย

Becoming Sylvia-like as he has all the ability but canโ€™t quite crack into Agradeย

He has good core strength but that's about it. May have made a solid backup PG in the NBL. Is about 3 inches short to have impact in the air, is too slow to have impact on the wing, and simply doesn't win enough 1 on 1s.

Badly out of form and unfortunately have seen more of the bad than the good. I'd give him until the end of his current contract, and then reasses.ย

I think the slight on his effort is actually unfair. I just donโ€™t think heโ€™s that good. Heโ€™s been a decent contributor over the last couple of years, but he will never be the De Goey type we have all been hoping he will be.

Send him back to Casey for a month play him of half back and get a Diet plan coz he does look out of condition!

No way will he be dropped. If he gets dropย and ANB is still in the side then i will stop supporting Melbourne and AFL in general.ย

Out of form and somehow needs a game to rediscover that. Could next friday be that match? Hope so, i am backing him.

BOTH need Casey time! Time for Goody to exert some nerve and send the message out that Both are playing Shizzzen!

This ^^
Doesn't have the drive to getย away from mummas lasagneย and get himself properly fit.
I'm thinking we trade whileย some club thinks they can turn him around.

Me too.

Tracย had an off season injury and surgery I believe and is therefore needing a bit of time to find his best.

If not for his set shot kicking last year, you would say he had a very good season last year.

He will get back to that form.

ANB on the other hand offers us nothing and in fact often gets in the way and costs us.

I think the problem is both mental and physical. Mentally Petracca is trying 'too hard', and he is playing outside of himself. He wants to have a real impact - you can see that. The kid tries his heart out. Physically, as has been mentioned on this site all pre-season, Petracca is carrying too much weight. Everyone outside of our fitness department can see that, and its obviously having an effect on Petracca's game. The solution: Lose weight, build endurance, and run full time on the ball. Put down the basketball and start training for distance. I am still very impressed with Petracca, he is just not being served well by our fitness department.

very convenient that everyone is saying this now after an 80 point loss. I was shot down for saying this last season.ย  spud. fumble fingers and cant kick

  • REPORT: Hawthorn

The final score in Saturday's game against Hawthorn was almost identical to that from their last contest three months ago. Melbourne suffered comprehensive defeats in both games, but the similarities ended there. When they met in Round 9, the Demons were resurgent, seeking to redeem themselves after a lacklustre start to the season. They approached the game with vigour and dynamism, and were highly competitive for the first three quarters, during which they were at least on par with the Hawks. In the final term, they lapsed into error and were ultimately overrun, but the final result did not accurately reflect their effort and commitment throughout the match.

  • CASEY: Box Hill

The Casey Demons ended the regular season on a positive note and gained substantial momentum leading into the finals when they knocked the Box Hill Hawks off the top of the VFL ladder in their final round clash at Casey Fields. More importantly, they moved out of a wild card position in the finals race and secured a week's rest as they leapfrogged up the ladder into fifth place with their decisive 23-point victory over the team that had been the dominant force in the competition for most of the season.
