Just listening to Jade Rawlings on SEN, and he mentioned the new recruits who’ll be stepping out for Casey on Sunday. If I heard correctly Tom Sparrow’s name wasn’t one of them, suggesting he’ll play against Port.

Or Twig had a moment of forgetfulness...

I'd say it's an oversight.  From what I've seen Sparrow is a mile off.

What a silly comparison.

Maybe too difficult for you to understand.

Risk mitigation is very complex and a risk assessment that doesn’t work out, doesn’t mean the decision was wrong.

Lots of people thought Brayshaw should not have played again and he has since come 3rd in the Brownlow. The club assessed the risk and decided it would be safe for him to play on. At this stage it looks a wise decision.

If he copped a freak knock to the head that ended his career people like you would look at the outcome and decide we got it wrong rather than the process which we seem to have got right.

Absolutely agree dl4e

Will crumb and has goal sense !

Then again, Lewis has great goal sense too, and is a great, canny snapper at the big ones. Ten minutes in the deep forward may refresh these skills

Corey wagner to debut

I don't mind this, Has some flaws, but hits packs front and centre at pace. Did it 4/5 times in the Casey/Brisbane game. He fumbled a couple of times but getting that timing right is a rare skill. We've missed having someone with that skill since Garlett was dropped last year

Awesome to see Corey getting a go.

how good is it too see boys come from the VFL into the big time. We’ve got Fritsch, Wagner, Hore, Keilty as an emergency, Hibberd originally VFL as well. Good stuff.

Really interested to see whether Salem is on the wing in actuality. Would love to see but I do not see a perfect replacement.

And once again, a huge vote of confidence for Hunt, or what he brings is seen as so important and different to what we have in the team that he is given every opportunity.

Billy Stretch is on the outer - career under threat

Agree Chook.....doesn't seem to be one of Goodwin's fav's & hard to improve & develop when the coach won't back ya.

Don't reckon Billy's had a good block of games since Roosey left, although I may be wrong.

Probably because he unfortunately just doesn’t look quite an afl-level midfielder, which is really the only position he can play

J Smith and Preuss not best 22.

Hannan 50/50

Even Vanders is borderline

Might be gilding the lille a bit there 'norm'

Seems to have lost confidence especially with his disposal. It won’t help not even being an emergency and Corey Wagner being picked ahead of him. I feel sorry for him because apparently he is a super-professional trainer and a really good person.

Good to see Marty Hore will debut on Saturday. Met him at the Family day. A very personable young man, and handsome too. His photographs don't do him justice. I'm predicting he will become a fan favourite very soon. (Hope he plays well!)

If our recent VFL recruits in Hannan and Fritsch are any indication, I'm excited to see what Hore and Wags 2.0 can provide to the team.

Congratulations to them both!

    TRAINING: Monday 20th January 2025

Demonland Trackwatcher Gator attended training out at Casey Fields to bring you the following observations from Preseason Training. GATOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS There were 5 in the main rehab group, namely Gawn, Petracca, Fullarton, Woewodin and Lever.  Laurie was running laps by himself, as was Jefferson.  Chandler, as has been reported, had his arm in a sling.  Lindsay did a bit of lap running later on. Some of the ''rehab 5'' participated in non contact drills and b

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
