KK doesnt go hard at the pill.

Do you think that Goodwin and McCartney would have recruited him if he wasn't hard enough at the footy ?  It's in their DNA.  It's part of the club's ''esprit de corps''.

Clearly there are degrees of hardness, and Kolodjashnij isn't an inside mid, but the club wouldn't have recruited a player they thought had been to the Jack Watts school of hard knocks.

Yep, totally agree.

Every bloke who wears the Melbourne guernsey under Goodwin will go when it’s their turn.

KK has player 78 games (runner-up B & F in 2015) & averaging 16 disp per game @ 71% efficiency.....I reckon hell be ok.

good luck son.

Hore unlucky, however we can have J smith play at both ends should we require.

I have to go to work today, on a Public Holiday, didn't expect this topic till next week

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for cheering me up with some of the selections and justifications as to why, your opinions but comedy gold, picking players who are injured???

I have a cousin who played with May and KK at the Gold Coast. Reckons May will be a superstar.

Says KK is a defender that looks good but can’t defend. Does not rate him at all.

I’m happy to back in our recruiters over the observations of a teammate.

I have a feeling we have so many hard at it midfielders we have gone for one against the grain that is a little different to our usual drafting target but compliments the rest of the list.

Time will tell.

I suspect your cousin is right.  No-one is better placed to know a player's deficiency than a teammate.

This is where the good clubs develop players and improve their weaknesses.

That said, I believe we've earmarked him for an outside wing role.

RE the concern around Oscar. I've been in his camp for many years, but for a guy who is almost 23, he still gets pushed off the ball too easily.

2019 is do or die I reckon. Does Petty step up at the second level and does Oscar lose his place to Frost/May/Lever when they're all fit? I can see it happening in the second half of 2019.

It's going to be an interesting season.

Everyone can remove May from their side.

Copped an unsurprising 1 week.

That is [censored]. Fine at worst. Club should challenge.

Agree. They should absolutely challenge. Rubbish decision.

On the flip side, Dixon won't play, so if he has to miss a game I'll take this one.

Can we challenge without risking 2? Hope we don’t have this continual worry with May his record is pretty bad...

I didn't think he got him in the head.  I'm obviously wrong.

But gee, the game has been sanitised to within an inch of its life.

Yeah yeah, I know it's still tough and they hit hard, etc.

Absolute joke of a decision. He clearly hip and shoulders the bloke in the chest, his chin is whiplashed into the top of his shoulder. May doesn’t leave the ground, bends his knees & braces for impact. Challenge

Can challenge and only risk $10k.

May (pardon the pun) as well have a chuck at the wickets and try and get him off.

if we don't risk two, absolutely should challenge

I don't think we will challenge. Just my theory. OMAC at FB and Frost CHB. They did okay at the end of the home and away and in the first 2 finals. Maybe Petty gets a go.

I think we are going to we might lose a few we might expect to win early in the season.

I'm tempering my expectations and will be very happy winning 50% to the half way mark with no injuries.

New personnel, the structural changes due to the 666 rule and having key players underdone might see us stall out of the blocks a bit.

I also see the form of a few in the lower tier as a bit of a worry.

I would love to be wrong.

We still have a bit of room until Lever returns, Viney is match by match fit, Hibberd returns to his real form, KK comes in as a sweeper and feeder - that all could provide an opportunity for Oskar Baker (the speedster) to have a few initial runs from the bench at the expense of the likes of Stretch and Spargo, and perhaps ANB. Baker may well provide some carry and drive whilst adapting to an AFL-level of expectation. I, for one, am dying to see him in action to gauge his potential.

Hmm.  Medium impact to the head apparently. What evidence do they have to support this?

Z E R O

Does this mean Petty or Frost plays?  (Haven't seen any of the preseason).
