Just incase anyone was interested in seeing Dom in his new kit. Best of luck Dom.

Suspect it was one of Carlton, Gold Coast or St Kilda. No half decent team is offering a depth midfielder 5 years.

He’s better than that imo. We just have freakish ability in Oliver, viney and Brayshaw at the coal face. Given an ongoing role at stoppages I think Tyson will be a very good player ar North.... but they won’t be top 4.

Rohan Connolly reckons Kangas are top 4 in 2019. Tyson Hall Polec and Pitterd plus youngster Tarryn Thomas reckon to boost team into premiership contention. Connolly suffers from “Premature escalation”!!

Wow.  From clearly missing the top 8 with the aid of the leagues  easiest draw to now making top 4.  What's he smoking in his pipe?

The Kangas have a recruiting haul something like what Port did last season.

How did they finish up?

Like Port in season 2018, North will be lucky to make the 8 this coming season.

I liked Dom too. He was a bright spot there for us for a couple of seasons. 94 games for us, not to father/son
I’ll ignore the trade that got him to us but upon leaving we got Preuss and the pick that became Marty Hore. Preuss left and gave us the pick that gave us Fraser Rosman

So Dom Tyson (retired) = Hore + Rosman

I didn't mind Dom - he served a purpose during the Roos' rebuiding era

Correct weight.

We needed experienced players who had been in the system for a year or two. Bringing in the number two pick into what was close to a VFL quality list would have backfired badly.

Dom was never going to be the next Dusty Martin, but he played a part in the years between 2014 and 2016 which ensured that while we were no world beaters, we weren't being pantsed every week. And for that we should thank him.

didn't it basically work out as:

josh kelly = tyson + salem + hunt

tyson = preuss + hore

preuss = sideshow bob

so josh kelly = sideshow bob + salem + hunt + hore

I thought he was pretty serviceable when playing with us, especially since he was played as an outside mid and he considered himself an inside mid, hence the move.
I am a bit surprised he didn't get to play more games than he did for North.
I wonder what went wrong?

He was injured nearly the whole time he was there unfortunately (chronic ankle from memory) however the few games he played he didn’t do all that well sadly for him.

One day in the next century someone's going to be trawling through the ancient records of Demonland and conclude that in 2021 there was some sort of witch-hunt for working girls involving a circus performer called Robert.

Injuries.

Wrist and persistent calf problems through his time at North.

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

    The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

    Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well

    UNBACKABLE by The Oracle

    They’re billing the Brisbane Lions as a sleeping giant — the best team outside the top eight —and based on their form this month they’re a definite contender for September AFL action. Which is not exactly the best of news if you happen to be Melbourne, the visiting team this week up at the Gabba.  Even though they are placed ahead of their opponent on the AFL table, and they managed to stave off defeat in their last round victory over North Melbourne, this week’s visitors to the Sunshi

    WILDCARDS by KC from Casey

    Casey’s season continued to drift into helplessness on Sunday when they lost another home game by a narrow margin, this time six points, in their Round 13 clash with North Melbourne’s VFL combination. The game was in stunning contrast to their last meeting at the same venue when Casey won the VFL Wildcard Match by 101 points. Back then, their standout players were Brodie Grundy and James Jordon who are starring in the AFL with ladder leaders, the Sydney Swans (it turned out to be their last
