Does this make Hunt dispensable?

I love Hunt but for the right price would you trade? I hear Carlton are keen.

Yes, I fear Hunt will become Casey depth

KK improves our backline, assuming he passes medical by Richmond doctor

certainly makes it more uphill and harder for the lad

I have firmly swung around and want us to secure May. There are not too many May's out there.

And we got one of those few this time last year.

Usually only one per year.

Pick 5, 6 and Hunt for pick 1?

On points alone, 5 and 9 would get 1.  5,6 and Hunt would be overs by a big margin.  Unless we needed the guy who would go at 1, 5 and 6 would be much better value

This is an excellent get!

There’s a risk there with his medical history, but a potentially huge reward if he can get through it.

Great value.

Not sure about that bit - we don't know what the price is yet do we?

I regard the KK recruitment as a wingman for the MFC, with HBF a secondary position and option into the future.

I agree, but I think in time (as early as next year) Salem will move onto a wing. His defensive game is being developed back there to ensure teams can't exploit him going the other way when he does step up to a wing.

I'd have Salem and KK on wings next year unless we can get Whitfield or Kelly, in which case I'd keep Salem at half back.

Why? He has never played there.

He has at times. Mahoney has stated that he sees him as a half back and wing option to bolster the strength of our running midfield.

Mahoney said on trade radio today that KK has already undergone a full medical at the Dees.

Sounds like this signing is a definite goer. Great get by our FD.

Would gladly take a 2nd rounder for Hunt.   Right on pick 30 will do.  We have had some serious magic happen from our picks there   (Fritsch, Melk, Hibberd).

Mahoney said at the end of the interview that we had no intention of trading Hunt and that we still see him as an important part of our side moving forward.  Seeing how forthright he was with all the information he gave in the interview I'd believe that Hunt isn't going anywhere.

I hope not. I don't think Salem is a great endurance runner. Moving him on to the wing could result in more hamstring trouble. He reads the play beautifully at half back, makes excellent decisions, wins contests on the ground, defends more than capably against the right opponents and his kicking should only improve if he's encouraged to back himself and flatten the ball out. As Lewis goes out of the side Salem will only get more important at half back.

KK I think they'll try on the wings because he has the height to kick it to 1 on 1, has a long penetrative kick suited to kick inside 50 or over the top, ran a 10.10 3km time trial and the wing will give him more space to get on to his left.

That was my read too, and no murmurs as yet tends to support that given how much is out in public domain now

And he's quick.

Sadly I agree...

I love hunt and the x factor he brings. But my God he can butcher the ball.

Wouldn't mind testing him as a forward for a season though. I remember him v the hawks a few years ago get thrown in there after half time and really added something.

a lot of people ( dees )will now be practising this blokes name Im sure...lol

Hope he doesn't take 23 or even AVB's 22. That's for Kelly.

Port are also keen, They are trolling us hard the Powa, they want our pick 4 and in return for picks 9 and 10.

It's really not that difficult...

Given the recent track record of both teams football departments, I reckon we're better at identifying talent. If they say no and we say yes, that's more than enough for me.

yet, we have been poor with recycler players or pro scouting i.e. balic, mckenna, bugg, ben kennedy, aiden riley, and many more from the neeld era which l won't go into
