Hack journo who played cricket.

He’s not a hack, he’s actually pretty well connected in WA and if you listen to his segment it’s not sensationalist and contains a lot of information.

(Not saying he’s right, but he’s got a lot right in the past)

Rain, hail or shine - he gets paid. Whilst under contract it doesnt matter if he plays or not.

Wonder if Jesse is on a contract with base plus performance (number of games)?

On top of a long term injury that would add to the anxiety.

Wow this is big news.  I thought we could maybe give them a 3rd rounder in the trade period but looks as if we might be able to  just sign him as a delisted free agent.

Poor Jesse hope he can make some progress from here

Get him back!

Yep. Next year if he gets paid oout by Freo. Get him right in the head and he is a great player.

Hagdon must have some pretty good sources to be able to write that, and make it public

get out of Perth Jesse...

Sweet Jesus,

He is an absolute hack and is not well connected in WA, may have been 20 years ago

He gets a lot more wrong than he gets right, this will be a fishing expedition because he's getting nothing from Freo and is trying to force a comment.

Wowee that is a massive fishing trip and if wrong he should be held accountable as that is a massive.

Jungle drums are beating, rumours flying, some claim eyewitness accounts of wrongdoings. Some suggest half of WA have seen the antics, you don't have to look far. I hope some at our club extend a helping hand, I think the lad may need it. Footy is the least of the worries.

This is huge news if true and at the same time incredibly sad.

No mention of Insurance Companies/Managers in this debacle.....strange

There were obvious reasons why we moved him on for what seemed like unders. Such a shame his career seems to be turning out this way. He was genuinely one of the most exciting forward talents we’d seen in years.

Hopefully he can work through his issues and have a healthy life in the end.

Have a year off Jesse, get sorted/well...

Then come home to the Dees!

ps was thinking about how much structure and support Jesse had built in his time at MFC (ages 17-23), and that walking away from that to go to Freo may not have helped him...

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
