I have a secret sauce.

Freo get pick 5 from BNE for Neale and Hogan goes to KFC for pick 6, 17 and 68, (family bucket) which he swaps for picks 22, 223 and 2 (spicy wings, nuggets and a coke) Bell refuses the wings but cleverly swaps the nuggets for a packet of darts which Hogan accepts and becomes a Marquis player. (nice Moustache and boots.)

There is/was only one Peter Marquis.

Not if Freo have a handshake agreement with Jesse and his manager to bring him over next year if Melbourne don’t capitulate at the trade table now.

Whatever your own thoughts are on the King Bros, if you can hold on to the rolled gold of pick 5 in a superdraft AND get your key forward 12 months later ... only a mug list manager would not look at that as an attractive option.

I don’t like how Fremantle are manoeuvring any more than the next Demon fan, but try looking at the situation from Peter Bell’s size 6 brogues. If he can find a way to have his cake and eat it too he’s going to explore it.

I know I sure as hell would if I were them.

I can’t imagine Jesse and his manager entering into amy kind of handshake agreement with these idiots after their antics this period, they’ve got zero credibility.

There was a time a man's word was sufficient , or a handshake.

Today CONTRACTS are hardly worth the paper. No one's going to get excited about a nod here...or there.

Paul Connors: (thinks) let's see, how are we looking .... 4.5 million dollars, 0 credibilities .... total score ... 4.5 million dollars. Lookin' good.

I believe it's Jason Dover

Apparently, the East-West link contract was worth the paper it was written on.

anyone else thinking Marquis de Sade whenever they see Marquis instead of Marquee. Seems very apt for the various levels of Sadomasochism going on here....

BBO may be very interested. speaking BBO - has anyone checked on him since the block renovated the Gatwick.

No i have not. My stance has not changed.

If Freo want to buy Hogan they pay Top $$ or [censored] off

Quite simple. Key Forwards are hard to find and we should know. In 160 seasons we have NEVER had a 100 goal kicker.

Hogan hasn’t peaked yet...

So pay ? up or leave.

What if they throw in McCarthy as steak knives?

We could swap hogan to brisbane for pick 4 and beams, give beams for May, keep pick four and hogan and neal deal will be between freo and brisbane.

If only on-trading playets were allowed. It would solve so many little problems.

5, 23 & Freo 2019 first.

for Hogan & 2019 first.

Seems pretty fair to me.

I'd take that. Solid deal for both sides.

I believe Hillary Clinton flew a faked Apollo 11 through the twin towers to make everyone think the earth is round. Which probably explains a lot of other things about me.

(you're right)

What’s McCarthy done?

steak knives clog up lists

If this trade goes ahead I wud like to keep pick 5 to use on Smith. I know all the talk is the back line but with lever coming back and our midfield being a year older and better I feel the back line is set Smith adds that outside run should take tysons roll from day one

This article provides nothing. No direct quote or even a vague reference to an ‘unnamed source’. Just a hunch on the part of the journo. Yet based on this most of you are piling back on believing Jesse will be a Docker by Wednesday.

I’m telling you right now. They’ve gone cold on him. Bell isn’t bluffing, they’re no longer interested.

We’re stuck with Hogan for 12 months and this will all happen again next year.

“Stuck with him”, I’ll bet you a slab of you’re fav beers, if Hoges isn’t injured ie plays similar number of games as TMac, Hoges will win our goal kicking. Book mark it.

Edit - Obvs if he’s at the Dees.

Really hoping this is the deal...

Imagine if the dockers slide to bottom 3 next year.. wouldn't that be glorious.

Hell I'd even throw in 33 to the mix

After he moved heaven and earth himself to get back to WA it’s a dead set no.

So Bell uses the term due diligence twice and says they are not going to try and get Hogan. If they make a play for him over the next 3 days then Freo are the biggest hypocrites going around.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
