I blame (in no particular order):

- The surface of Gosch’s Paddock

- The training staff

- Jesse’s boots.

You forgot:

- the camp

- going to the AFLPA instead of the coaching team

- Jack Watts

- Norm Smith curse

- Jack Watts

- Dom Tyson

- Oscar McDonald

- Jack Watts

It's his gait. I have been saying for a very long time.

He walks and runs like a pregnant cow.

He is bandy legged as well.

He must be putting a lot of pressure on other parts of his body because of it.

Trade him.

No send him to the Richmond doctor.

seriously we have seen the flaws In playing players with foot injuries. Put him out for the rest of this year it is not as though we are going to make finals let alone do anything.

We need him fit and firing in the first game of 2019, 2018 is already a bust.

You could add:

- Nath Jones' leadership

- ANB

- Goodwin not being the right guy

Don't care what anyone thinks if he is out of the side it's a bad loss.

You forgot James Harmes' post-game interview. Definitely a major factor in Jesse's foot issues.

I do find this potential injury interesting. Some have been saying he's been injured in the leg department for weeks, how come no scans beforehand? It's also interesting that his injuries seem fine when playing lesser teams like GC the week before and he moved around freely.

Exactly.

He looks a million bucks when we're beating up on GC and Brisbane.

He looked injured to me last week at training. But I would have said it was a sore back. They were doing some sprints and he was well back and taking very short strides.

But before hanging the medical department at the club I also thought Harmes looked like he had sore groins or hips. Harmesy was great on the weekend. Buddy doesn't train all week but gets up for the games. They say a lot of players are carrying stuff towards the end of the season. I don't know how it works.

I would also add that Gawn looked fine jogging around the boundary and I'm sure the way Melk and Hibberd trained if Sunday was a final they both would have played. I don't think its fair to slander the medics coz it can be a pretty inexact science. Whos to say if Bernie had of played in the ones and Hunt in the twos both players would still be fine. Sliding doors.

My back hurts even when I hear the word "sprint"

  • NON-MFC: 2026 Opening Round

Finally the 2026 AFL Premiership Season is upon us. While Melbourne sits out Opening Round, there is still plenty of footy to enjoy with five non-MFC clashes to kick off the new season. It all begins on Thursday night with a blockbuster at the SCG as Sydney hosts Carlton in what should be a strong early test for both sides. On Friday night, Gold Coast gets its chance to open the season in front of a home crowd when the Suns and Christian Petracca take on Geelong at People First Stadium. Saturday features a double-header, starting in the afternoon with Greater Western Sydney and Clayton Oliver meeting the Hawks at Engie Stadium. That is followed on Saturday night by Brisbane Lions hosting the Western Bulldogs at the Gabba, with the Lions embarking on their campaign to win the Threepeat. Opening Round wraps up on Sunday night at the MCG, where St Kilda takes on Collingwood in the only game in town in the first week of the season. There is no shortage of storylines across the round, so discuss all the action from the non-MFC games of Opening Round.

What do you think the team will look like when they run out on to the G?

  • REPORT: Richmond

Mars is not usually a place known for lighting strikes but on Friday evening it happened twice in the vicinity of the stadium in Ballarat that carries the name and is a half completed building site with limited capacity for spectators.

Kozzy Pickett was the man of the match last week and has a vote lead over backup ruck Max Heath who didn't play this week and 5 votes over former Saint Jack Steele. Who gets the votes in this weeks shortened match win over the Tigers? Your votes please. 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1.
