Has anyone else seen the footage of the brawl in the crowd after the siren. A dozen or more from both teams supporters but seemed centered around a Dees fan that was on the concrete floor with a number of Cats fans on top of him with boots being laid in.

Ugly stuff and a bitter pill to swallow after a gut wrenching loss.

He majority of cats fans need to drive their 96 falcons back to Corio/Norlane and spend their money on their kiddo rather then spend it on bullet bourbons that convince them to whinge about ridiculous [censored].

We were close to that. Got out just in time by the looks of it. I had a few usuals that wanted to knock my block off, but the 6 foot 6ness continues to help me.

I ended up going to the game after saying all week I wouldn't be. I was standing in this area but left immediately after Tuohy's kick as I knew there was the potential for something like this to happen.

A few DLer's said I was overstating the potential for violence. It is real as there is virtually no security in the standing room area. What little there is (sometimes small females) are casual staff, not the more burley blokes or police that you see at the 'G.

I did notice the lack of security there as well. Bizarre. Imagine if Geelong had lost? Probably more chaos.

As I posted, my mate copped a 'Glasgow kiss' some years ago which plastered his nose all across his face. It was a horrible sight. Ross had said nothing. All he did 'wrong' was wear a MFC scarf.

I was treading on eggshells the entire game last night. Cats supporters believe they own the whole ground and can't accept the presence of opposition supporters.

I stand in M9 (old Bay 13) every MCG game. It's well patrolled (police walk through our section regularly). The Cats make more than $half a mil. each home game. They spend stuff all on security and employ part timers with no experience.

If true that we started the violence it’s a disgrace. And now we look like fans that can’t take a loss.

Im heading over to AO next week and standing on the hill. Could be interesting

Good luck ?

I'll be up in the Audi Club with my family... Not sure which Adelaide supporters are worse to be around?!? At least the w-anchors on the hill understand their existence is meaningless!

I support my team with great passion, and never have a personal thing to say, or make any action, toward any other supporter.

I went last night, was up the other end from this incident. As soon as Tuohy kicked the goal, I had some clown clap at me (basically in my face). It was totally unnecessary, I had not spoken a bad word, nor addressed or acknowledged him (or any other supporter for that matter) at all during the night.

He's lucky that I'm a lover and not a fighter. This sort of crap is asking for trouble. He would've been the first one to whinge if he copped one on the nose, which could've happened if I was someone different.

It's also worth noting that this is the 2nd or 3rd incident this season at a Geelong game. I know from my personal experience that their supporters ask for trouble with the way they act. I'm glad I'm better than that to respond with violence, but I'm not surprised that others do.

I have had enough of going to Kardinia Park. I don't deserve to have my night out at the footy ruined by idiots, just because I'm a passionate supporter in "enemy territory".

It's a feral backwater.

The word parochial doesn't scratch the surface.

I have friends on the Bellarine and all are not brushed with the same brine but Kittyland has taken over from Victoria Park. Boganville

Fwiw , a few years ago I left the Cattery early after another obvious loss was looming and I provided some sort of retribution for myself by adhering some Demon stickers to cars that were obviously owned by opposition supporters.

Dead right!  Studies show that domestic violence is worse after football ( of all description) games are completed . This validates the studies

A mate of mine had his nose broken down there. Not sure if it was the same incident.

Coward punch apparently.

I hope we meet them again in September....

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session. BLWNBA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I arrived at around 1015 and the squad was already out on the track. The rehab group consisted of XL, McAdam, Melksham, Spargo and Sestan. WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
