I'm done with this pretender being unable to stand any half decent forward with an ounce of leg speed or overhead ability.

I'm done with him falling over or giving away free kicks because he knows he's physically incapable of even halving the contest.

I'm done with his futile efforts to change direction.

I'm done with the way he picks up the ball protecting himself and only on his left side so he can't move on to his right.

I'm done with his handballs that go to grass.

I'm done with him taking kick outs despite only being able to kick 45 metres.

I'm done with his stupid fake hair.

I'm just absolutely done with Jordan Lewis.

Vote. Tell me where you stand. If you're sucked in by the stat padding that invariably occurs when he's a mile from his opponent or even playing 7 defenders then good for you. If you think some of his nice short kicks justify his ongoing selection then let me know.

Personally, I can't have the team playing a guy who will get so badly found out by a good team. I don't see what that achieves? I think we've got 2 really nice rebounding defender options in Hibberd and Salem who whilst not perfect are tough, courageous, pacy and can beat good opponents. They are the guys who should be getting 20 cheap kicks a game and around them we should have defenders who have the ability to actually defend.

Overreaction. Have a cup of tea mate.

Falls over deliberately when his out of breath

I must have been at a different game today. Okay I played down back in my time and you always look bad when the midfield gets smashed. We got smashed in the clearances today and I thought Lewis stood up and showed us his experience big time.

hmmm...I dunno.  I thought he was the only reason we didn't lose by 100+ today.  But I'd had a few, so beer goggles may have gotten the best of me.

I'd be more concerned with Bernie Vince then Lewis.

He might have had a bad game but this is a huge overreaction. He has had a very good year so far and certainly wasn’t the only poor performer today.

An oddly specific thing to point out DS... do I perhaps detect some jealousy?

I was waiting to see who would drop their bundle the hardest.

Well done, DeeSpencer. You've won by the length of the Flemington Straight.

Hey @DeeSpencer, I get your frustration and sometimes I felt the same today.

I think we can only hold one of him and Vince from here on in, unfortunately along with Jetta they make us too slow against quick forwards and surging mids.

As @Earl Hood says above the big problem today was the mids and I would add lack of defensive pressure from our forwards.

Pedders throws out the balance and the kid gets run over too much at the mo.

Probably time to get Hunt back in with Garlett, move Smith across to a flank or wing and bring in Petty...

Lol lol lol...

His last month has been super. Just breathe guys, goodness me.

When we are winning, he looks good.  He struggles to help us win.

isolated 1:1 he is burned every time.  He has to play the quarterback role, but when they man up and run off him, he is dreadfully exposed.

I hear where you are coming from and yes I did notice his lack of chase time and time again and yes in our earlier lossess against Cats and Hawks, he was exposed over the back, as he would have been against the Tigers if he had played.

But Jordy's precision is a big reason why we have won the past six games and his distribution, except for his last-quarter clanger was exceptional again today.

Take a breath and figure out the other reasons behind the loss today - pace beat precision and what's worse we lost in the hardball area for just the second time this year - both losses.

Goody will reconfigure and fix those areas and I reckon he will now know that he must have Hunt playing against the Pies and Tigers, even if he does turn it over.

Agree mostly with the op, except you take him out and nobody besides Jetta in the back half has any composure in traffic. I think we better not play both him and Vince again in the same side.

We are this year's Port, can't beat anyone in the top 8. Our lack of fight from the opening bounce was so incredibly disappointing. We're nowhere near ready for a serious crack at finals. Embarrassed to be a demon fan today, and to think I took day of annual leave so i could start home and watch that pitiful performance. Won't be doing that ever again.

One of very few prepared to give second efforts today

Many worse than he was

Easy to give a 2nd effort when your first effort is non existent.

My grandpa could've played well at half back for the last month.

And he's been dead for 30 years.

That genius footy mind @Satyriconhome  thinks they are both going along awesomely,   but doesn't rate 22 year old young gun Ed Langdon from Freo, who the MFC are chasing.

I’m more concerned with the people on here who think he should get another year.

Bernie is just as concerning as Lewis but Bernie can at least defend. He's a willing puncher and can tackle. Bernie's ball use is sporadic but when it's on he's more damaging than Lewis is, he still has penetration in his kicking and can make the big switch.

We aren't changing the way we play for Bernie though. He takes an opponent and has a crack.

Jordan didn’t have a great day mostly due to poor disposal, which at times looked lazy and a little bit arrogant. He was surely streets ahead of Vince who has done nothing all year and plays with no urgency.

Group think for you again, Lewis was ok today, couldn't play his usual QB role because of circumstances, open your eyes and mind

An overblown and over emotive post from @DeeSpencer, bit like @joeboy 3 word

The defence was under seige because the 15 or 16 in front of them didn't defend

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
