6.  Oliver. His quick pick ups and hands were amazing. Some great tackles, a contested grab where he got smoked and kicks a snag. Top notch. Absolute gun who makes red heads cool

5. Gawn. Dominanted with some classy tap work. Goes forward and clunks a few and plenty of pill around the ground.

4. Hogan. High quality possessions around the ground, should have had 4 straight and some amazing contested grabs. In amazing form.

3. Brayshaw. His best game I have seen and so happy to see him dominate. Amazing how players go when the play in there natural position they have always played and dominated. Showed why Roos wanted him at P2 for his “natural ball winning ability” or something similar.

2. Hibberd. His toughness and rebound were again on show today.

1. Lever. Classy player. Repaying the faith why we got him. So aggressive with his contest work and spoils.

Did St Kilda even have a forward today?

6. Brayshaw - and people still want to trade him...

5. Oliver - he had a quiet last quarter to rest which cost him the vote.

4. Hogan - I was asked today what I would trade for Hogan. Nothing comes to mind.

3. Gawn - the difference between when he is on and off the field is immense. I also love that st Kilda tried to rattle him and gave away a heap of frees.

2. Hibbard - found his form.

1. Oscar - serious just gets the job done now. Could be a sneaky top 10 b&f.

Disappointed no-one has yet suggested you should trade your significant other out to get Hogan in to live with you.

6.  Clarry!  what a game son!  Clean as a whistle ....29 effective disposals @ 82.9% DE, 13 score involvements and 5 interceptions.

5.  Lewis ....the rock and general down back.  21 effective disposals...super clean also @ 91.3% DE, 4 clearances, 6 R50s, 8 score involvements and 4 interceptions!

4.  Hibberd ...Mr Reliable.  Ran his butt off to get to the drop and out of congestion.  Lowered eyes on many occasions and didn't blaze away too often.  A gem of a footballer with the bonus of being able to dispose quite well on his opposite side.

3.  Brayshaw  ...Break out game!   23 effectives @ 72%.  In everything and  659 meters gained.. wow!

2.  Hogan ....fab first half.  He kicks that easy forth with a drop punt straight through the middle and he has a very very good game right there.

1.  Gawn .... what can you say.  We don't win that well without Big M on song!  And not just the hit outs... 15 effectives @ 75%, 8 score involvements, 5 interceptions and a goal!

Apologies to Vince, O-Mac, Lever, Jones & Harmes.

UP IN LIGHTS by Whispering Jack

Those who watched the 2024 Marsh AFL National Championships closely this year would not be particularly surprised that Melbourne selected Victoria Country pair Harvey Langford and Xavier Lindsay on the first night of the AFL National Draft. The two left-footed midfielders are as different as chalk and cheese but they had similar impacts in their Coates Talent League teams and in the National Championships in 2024. Their interstate side was edged out at the very end of the tournament for tea
