At least we only have 4 6 day breaks (excluding the Essendrug game) from what I can see.

Otherwise from  PR perspective its not great and we have a tough run home as well.

Well we had a very favourable draw in 2017 and squibbed it.

The AFL reward the performers and big crowd drawers. Right now, we're neither of those things

We were in the top 6 last year for Home and Away crowds.. The AFL have literally no fkin idea

4 away games in a row rounds 6-9 ????? (2 at docklands 1 at G vs Carlton) then home in Alice Springs and away again to Dogs at Docklands

I agree that is bizarre, at the Carlton game should have been our home game instead.

Effectively 6 away games in a row from round 6 to round 11 (can’t really include Alice springs as a home game). How does that happen?

why can’t it just be home one week away the next, repeat

ummm you answered your own question.  if we have games in Alice then we can't possibly have one home one away.... unless you want the AFL to give us more home games than any other team

It’s as if people have forgotten that we haven’t made the 8 since 06 and have also been the laughing stock of the competition for the best part of a decade.

We will EARN a favourable draw by performing week in, week out.

Until then, stfu.

Fixturing shouldn't be a tool for the AFL to punish/reward. If it is, why do Carlton get looked after? It's a joke.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs West Coast

It’s game day and the Demons return to Melbourne to play the Eagles at the MCG for the first time in over a decade. A win keeps the Dees finals hopes alive whereas a loss will almost certainly slam the finals window shut.

    CROSSROADS by The Oracle

Melbourne stands at the crossroads.  Sunday’s game against the West Coast Eagles who have not met the Demons at the MCG in more than ten years, is a make or break for the club’s finals aspirations.  That proposition is self-evident since every other team the club will be opposed to over the next eight weeks of footy is a prospective 2024 finalist. To add to this perspective is the fact that while the Demons are now in twelfth position on the AFL table, they are only a game and a half b

    DELUGE by KC from Casey

The Casey Demons overcame their inaccuracy and the wet inhospitable conditions to overrun the lowly Northern Bullants at Genis Steel Oval in Cramer Street, Preston on Saturday. It was an eerie feeling entering the ground that in the past hosted many VFA/VFL greats of the past including the legendary Roy Cazaly. The cold and drizzly rain and the sparse crowd were enough to make one want to escape to the nearby Preston Market and hang out there for the afternoon. In the event, the fans

    INSANITY by Whispering Jack

Somehow, the Melbourne Football Club managed it twice in the course of a week. Coach Simon Goodwin admitted it in his press conference after the loss against the Brisbane Lions in a game where his team held a four goal lead in the third term:   "In reality we went a bit safe. Big occasion, a lot of young players playing. We probably just went into our shell a bit. "There's a bit to unpack in that last quarter … whether we go into our shells a bit late in the game."   Well
