Just got an sms from the waitress who served Jesse and Nat their coffee.

She tells me that Jesse said to Nat that he was only having the coffee with him to stir up DL.

She then heard Nat say to Jesse, that if he grew his hair, he would show him how to tie up a man bun.

And how do I know this waitress red?? Hmmmmmmm???

Would it really be the end of the world if Jesse left? To be honest, I’d be just as excited with their pick 5, first rounder next year, Balic and possibly Tabener.

I'd just say 'No. You are contracted'

Tony Sheahan is just a troll. He has no idea.

Is that Tony is it? I had an inkling it may have been Nixon? Isn't Tony a Dees supporter though?? They are all full of it, just trying to rip hearts from supporters souls. Jay Clark seems to be one of the better ones on the Dees?

Why? So we can hold onto a player and build our game structure / plan for him and not develop players or build something now, when he will leave as a free agent in two years time, and then receive less in pick value as a result?

Makes perfect sense now to trade him than wait for the inevitable.

Yeah well in another development Apparently Jessie Hogan is very [censored] of with the Jack Watts situation and has had some conversations with Nat Fyffe and other Freo people. Make of that what you will

Picks are waaaaaay over-rated. And two years is a long time. Hell, 6 months can be a long time.

You keep what you have until you don't want them anymore or you can get something better. I don't see either of those conditions being met today.

I'd like to see some stats on JH, will have a look later. % of games won with/without him, better off to do this year as current. And also what our return from him is games missed v games total. Has had a bad run and spent a lot of time on the sidelines.

I know nothing about who is liable to be available at any pick, but I do know one thing - it's a gamble, you may get a star almost immediately, you may get one who is a star in a few years (and then leaves for another club) or you may draw a dud.  So any deal which involves trading a player (unless we have an excess of players in that position) who has played AFL reasonably well for a #5 draft pick is a dangerous gamble.   Better to trade picks and let other clubs do the gambling.

Great.

Jesse has met Fyfe for A SECOND time..

This is getting ridiculous.

Club may as well fold.

So he met some guy with a man bun.  Melbourne unaware of meeting (dont need to be), not aware of wanting to be traded (because he doesn’t?).  No news.  Jesse is always going to attract the go home story, I have seen nothing to suggest he will not be contracted and playing next year.

I would start at 3 first rounders for Hogan. Contracted player who is a key forwArd that we payed 2 first rounders for originally.

Since then we have developed him from the age of 17 to be primed for next 10-12 years.

3 first rounders is what I feel is needed to get it done.

It's a pretty good consolation if it were to happen.

    REDLEG PRIDE by Meggs

Hump day mid-week footy at the Redlegs home ground is a great opportunity to build on our recent improved competitiveness playing in the red and blue.   The jumper has a few other colours this week with the rainbow Pride flag flying this round to celebrate people from all walks of life coming together, being accepted. AFLW has been a benchmark when it comes to inclusivity and a safe workplace.  The team will run out in a specially designed guernsey for this game and also the following week

    REDEEMING by Meggs

It was such a balmy spring evening for this mid-week BNCA Pink Lady match at our favourite venue Ikon Park between two teams that had not won a game since round one.   After last week’s insipid bombing, the DeeArmy banner correctly deemanded that our players ‘go in hard, go in strong, go in fighting’, and girl they sure did!   The first quarter goals by Alyssa Bannan and Alyssia Pisano were simply stunning, and it was 4 goals to nil by half-time.   Kudos to Mick Stinear.

    REDEEM by Meggs

How will Mick Stinear and his dwindling list of fit and available Demons respond to last week’s 65-point capitulation to the Bombers, the team’s biggest loss in history?   As a minimum he will expect genuine effort from all of his players when Melbourne takes on the GWS Giants at Ikon Park this Thursday.  Happily, the ground remains a favourite Melbourne venue of players and spectators alike and will provide an opportunity for the Demons to redeem themselves. Injuries to star play

    EASYBEATS by Meggs

A beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, with a light breeze and a strong Windy Hill crowd set the scene, inviting one team to seize the day and take the important four points on offer. For the Demons it was not a good Friday, easily beaten by an all-time largest losing margin of 65 points.   Essendon threw themselves into action today, winning most of the contests and had three early goals with Daria Bannister on fire.  In contrast the Demons were dropping marks, hesitant in close and comm
