North - just so hateable.  We need to spank those campaigners later this year.

I thought maybe they had multiplied the real figure by the number of games Brent Harvey had played...

Those late North goals are definitely a massive bonus for us (and anyone else in that group).

26,000 is a very poor crowd for two melbourne based teams who are based out of the same ground. But goes to show you we're not the only fans who don't turn out to the joint.

I hope plenty of Dees fans do get down to Etihad, make plenty of noise to will the team on!

well... there go North's chances of the eight .... if they ever had one.

they would need to win eight out of 10. While they have a relatively easy run home it isn't that easy.

If Richmond beat Sydney tomorrow at the MCG that is almost certainly the end for the Swans. (May drop along and watch that match if there is some winter sunshine.)

On that basis we then have five teams who cannot make the 8.

The mathematics is becoming interesting to say the least.

Tough one this afternoon but on balance I will be going for the Swans.

I am hankering after that fourth place on the ladder if by some miracle we have a good finish to the season.

Go the Swanettes !!

Hopefully it's a cracking game but the Swan run out big winners.

Not tough at all, easy as hell Jim.

Swans win  + Demons win = we leapfrog the Tiggers and top 4 is in our sights.

GO SWANSS DESTROY THE TIGER PRETENDERS

A question - given the pre-finals bye would a 5th place finish, with home ground be better than a 4th place finish, away game (most likely in Adel or Syd)?

Feels like the "2 weeks off in a month" scenario of a top 4 win in first week could be a momentum killer, especially for a young team.

Tad early for that Paul, let's just make it to September first

Can't decide who I want to lose more... Sydney if they lose pretty much zero chance of making the 8 which gets rid of one of our competitors... but if Richmond lose then opens up that 4th spot in the top 4.... plus I HATE Richmond

Everyone loves the Tigers and I have no idea why.  They don't play a brand of footy, nor have the cattle, that will hold up in September.  Matthew Lloyd was even calling Dimma the 'Coach of the Year'.  I hope they keep pumping up their tires as their fall will be all the more enjoyable when it happens.

Edit - and by everyone I mean them media.  We all know every neutral fan hates the Tigers.

Was responding to Petraccattackers comment about "aiming for 4th spot"...

and I agree it's too early.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

A few new faces joined our veteran Demonland Trackwatchers on a beautiful morning out at Gosch's Paddock for another Preseason Training Session.
