That place does not exist, maybe near Jindabine.

Or at Kardinia Park. They seem to get away with a few things...

Given it was a shoulder injury he should have been able to do the majority of the 'leg' work so fitness shouldn't be an issue, it'll be if the shoulder is strong enough and I'm sure he won't be picked without a massive fitness test (where's Bryon Pickett when you need him). If they don't bring him in, I don't think it'll be a big problem and we might wait until Gawn is ready before playing a ruck again.

http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2017-06-06/no-queens-birthday-return-for-hogan Mahoney quoted as expecting Spencer to be available. Apparently Spencer did high intensity training and had an extra session testing the shoulder at the end. Guess how he pulls up afterwards will be the key...

I'd bring in JKH - 43 touches at VFL - he is BACK BABY!

I know there is not a lot of love for JHK but he went back and performed, got to hand it to him he is determined to make a go of it.

Spencer in for mine so Pedo can prop up forward.

Spencer AFL or VFL "depending on matchups" according to Misson. The caveat on matchups is just the fitness guy not overstepping the boundaries of his role by pre-empting selection - clearly Spencer is an upgrade on Pedersen in the ruck (who is an upgrade on TMac as second ruck/forward, who is an upgrade on OMac as a defender) and they view Spencer as 100% fit and primed. Zero doubt in my mind that he's in now.

If the game is close and Collingwood play with the same intensity and desire as against Freo in the last quarter despite a bench full of cripples we won't win. It was a long time ago when we finished off a hard fought game like that and prevailed.  If we win in a canter, hard questions will still not be answered.

I'm expecting a similar intensity to the Adelaide win and a second half dismantling.

Minimum 10 goal victory.

Hogan was always a long shot to return for QB, it would've been right on the edge of his recovery window.

Spencer has to come back in, we've been getting by without a recognised ruckman for a while but now we actually have someone who can properly compete. Keep Pederson in as our second ruck, and Watts can be played as he should be, a forward.

Spencer seems an obvious choice but understand that Grundy is a very mobile ruckman and will run him hard, he may not have the fitness to go with Grundy and if not we are one down.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't come in.

I'm interested to see how Goody handles this one, there are arguments both ways and I don't see it as a certainty.

I trust we will get it right.

Thought Spencil had a bit of a tank ?

We will  be favourites for the match, normally we lose,so on that basis Collingwood really is the favourite. I expect Hogan to play,I think it is a ploy to state otherwise,I also expect Collingwood to do the same. This match is a mini elimination final, loser tanks for rest of year and pees off their supporters.

Wonder if Bernie will tag Treloar or maybe Pendles

I would be tagging pendles, treloar gets a lot of it but tends to rush his disposal, I just hope we bring the same pressure we had against the crows

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
