Congratulations to Neville Jetta, who will line up for his 100th game this weekend against the Bombers!

Incredibly well deserved for easily one of the most underrated players in the competition and one of the first picked every week.

Prima facie, Neville's football attributes don't stack up well for today's AFL, but he has made himself into one of the best small defenders going around.  Just shows what opportunity, perseverance, the right attitude and hard work will do.  Congratulations Nev ........ an ornament to the game and your community.

Who would have thought he could come back from being de-listed to becoming our best defender.

I've always loved Neville and his unassuming manner .

May this be just the half way point in his career.

Love Nev.. Quiet, unassuming, goes about his business week in week out, knows his game inside & out. One of the best small defenders in the comp (although it goes unnoticed by everyone except our fans). Easy thing is for people to say "Roos turned him around" Nev still had to put in the work & rebuild his game as a defender.. He never makes a bad decision or rarely losses a 1 on 1.. Congrats

The little master, love watching Nev play. He consistently outsmarts most forwards he plays on and positions himself extraordinarily well in the contest,

Pound for pound one of the best defenders in the comp.

Congrats on 100 games!

Great effort.

Have to say that when he was delisted at the end of '13, I would never have seen this coming. Didn't look to have any position - wasn't a midfielder or a forward and he didn't have any particular tricks that made him stand out. When we picked him with our last pick in the rookie draft, I took that to mean "there is literally nobody left in this draft".

I think Nev credited Jade Rawlings with his turn-around. Whether it was Rawlings or whoever it was that put the word on to Roos and Taylor to give Nev another shot as a defender, take a bow. He's evolved in to a tough, reliable player. You know that he will at least halve any contest he's in (except when the back line stuff up as a collective and he ends up one-out on the key forward - gee that annoys me), and while he's not a huge collector of the ball, he never wastes it when he has it. He is greatly underrated as a ball user in my view.

Well done Nev on 100 games. You got there the hard way - not that there is an easy way - and I am proud to have you in our team.

Always a favourite. Gets the best out of himself and always puts the team first.

Never tries to do too much and as a result, often comes out equal or on top- an underrated approach!

Congrats Jetta.

Well done, Jets. One of my favourites. And just to echo the OP, easily the most underrated defender in the competition. I hope he starts to get some proper recognition this year. He deserves every bit of it.

Well done Nev! He has been terrific, and I can't see him being unseated from that back 6 anytime soon.

I stuck by him from the start. That's probably the reason he's made it to 100.

Onya Nev!

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
