Last year I posted that CrownBet are going to stream all games live through their app and in 2017 they are going to so the same again.

If you want to watch the Dees games this year and don’t want to pay for the AFL Live Pass or have Foxtel, the gives you access to watch every game live via your phone. The best thing is you only need to sign-up as no deposit is required.

It works really well, the streams are clear and you save $80 odd in the process.

Someone posted that Crownbet forced you to have an active betting account, not just a sleeping account  You are definitely saying that is not the case?

Word of warning. I signed up for the Crown Bet app to view AFL. I used an email address that was expressly for that purpose. I have never had so much spam email in my life. I disabled it after 3 weeks.

They sell your data to all and sundry so be warned.

If you only made the email address for accessing the app, why actually log in to it?  Just leave it and continue to sign in to watch the footy.  Sorted.  You'll never know what they're sending you.

Exactly the first thing that came into my head.

I have a crownbet account that I use sporadically and get very few emails at all from them.

It does not work internationally

I figured as much after I clicked on the FAQ/Terms link several times to find out, and was returned to the same page.

So this statement on the link provided:

every afl match
wherever you are

is a straight out lie.

Probably just letting others know in case they were signing up using their personal email address. Thanks for the heads up Wiseblood.

Is it phone only? Or tablet also?

I am a Telstra customer, so have the live pass there, but am looking for a tablet option that isn't foxtel.

as an international viewer that is probably your best bet.. It is for the local viewers who like to pretend they are international.

I have had the same experience and I just say thanks.  I also filter the emails into the bin.

It costs $180.00 for annual subscription to watchafl, you can buy an international membership from the club for $200.00 with includes watchafl subscription. An extra $20.00 and you can support the club!!

Has anyone tried streaming the watch afl feed through their iPad to chromecast to their TV? I tried a while back but it didn't work. Apparently the Apple TV works ok.

Sorry haven't tried chrome cast but can verify that apple TV mirroring works.

I have used the Crownbet app myself, I maybe place a bet once a year if that, and normally I don't use crownbet either. Haven't received any phone calls about betting or gambling, or an increase in spam...

Isn't it funny that everyone is getting hassled to put money in their account, like I was myself, then when I read on here Oliver was 50-1 most Brownlow votes for Melbourne this year I put money in and then they refused the majority of my bet. Been getting spam for years then I finally put the money and they are too scared to honour their own odds.

They claim both apple and google casting formats work when you are international. However, given you're not indicating international you may run into issues attempting to cast depending on the way you're pretending to be international.

Ditto. This seems like the most blatant outright advertising pitch with generic copy imaginable. And for a betting agency. Mods?

THE ACCIDENTAL DEMONS by The Oracle

In the space of eight days, the Melbourne Football Club’s plans for the coming year were turned upside down by two season-ending injuries to players who were contending strongly for places in its opening round match against the GWS Giants. Shane McAdam was first player to go down with injury when he ruptured an Achilles tendon at Friday afternoon training, a week before the cut-off date for the AFL’s pre-season supplemental selection period (“SSP”). McAdam was beginning to get some real mom

RETURN TO NORMAL by Whispering Jack

One of my prized possessions is a framed, autographed guernsey bearing the number 31 worn by my childhood hero, Melbourne’s champion six time premiership player Ronald Dale Barassi who passed away on 16 September 2023, aged 87. The former captain who went on to a successful coaching career, mainly with other clubs, came back to the fold in his later years as a staunch Demon supporter who often sat across the way from me in the Northern Stand of the MCG cheering on the team. Barassi died the
