The boys abover are still boys. Whixh is what makes them so exciting

I don't see much of Pendelbury in Brayshaw at all to be honest. I think he is going to be a great player but I can't see the similarities at all

Yeah, I love Brayshaw, but I see Tyson as more a Pendlebury clone.

Met him briefly at the Casey Community Camp when I was getting autographs for my daughter - got that touch of Brayshaw smartar$e about him which I like!

Much taller in person than I thought too he's not that much shorter than Hogan, should be in for a great year.

I really hope not.

I'm a big fan of confidence but despise arrogant smartar$es - like his uncle.

Although from I've seen he seems like a nice young man and I guess if he plays great football for us it doesn't matter too much.

He's seemed a great kid and certainly doesn't lack confidence put it that way! Jesse on the other hand is really shy and quiet...of course I am basing all this on 2 minute conversations and I'm sure they are well versed on being on their best behavior in front of fans.

I'm a doubter...

Good player but until he can hit a short kick target under 30m he'll never be a great.

The amount of times he over / under kicks short passes for a player who is clearly so skilled is infuriating.

Eliminate those basic mistakes and he'll become a great as he knows where to run and how to get it.

He only averages around 14 disposals a game, will need to increase this significantly in 2017.

Again, I don't know what type of player he is because he isn't a inside player and his skills aren't good enough to be an outside player.

Gus, first two years (one with concussion) I thinks his trajectory will be far steeper than it has been for 2017-2019  -and  for me,  he reminds me of Darren Jarman with inside/outside game -positioning and penetration  - Post script - DJ's stats wise (K 13.5, HB 5.5 and G 1.6 per game)

I heart both his 2 sidedness and pumpkin headedness.

He has a strong frame which is fortunate as it needs to support a bulbous cranium.

He will be a serious player

Yeah, he has played a lot on the flank under Roos though...

He doesn't play a huge amount of midfield minutes and in the games where he has his possession counter rises quite a bit, I think that stuff will come in time but I doubt the coaches would be worried about possession numbers for him at this stage

As we've seen with Bontempelli, you don't need to get it even 25 times to be best on ground or exert great influence.

The thing that's always excited me about Gus is his ability to hurt the opposition with almost every touch. Almost all of his long kicks set up goals and his ability to kick on either side of his body is an absolute weapon.

20 Brayshaw disposals are the equivalent of 35 Viney disposals and that's nothing against Jack. He's just not as dangerous with the ball in hand. Not many players are. But Gus seems to have an acute game sense and importantly an ability to execute.

Having said all this, I'd agree he needs to up his possession count. Given his interrupted second year, I'd be happy if he averaged around 20 disposals for 2017. That'll position him nicely for 2018 and the Melbourne explosion, when these guys have played 50+ games together.

HEAVEN OR HELL by The Oracle

Clashes between Melbourne and St Kilda are often described as battles between the forces of heaven and hell. However, based on recent performances, it’s hard to get excited about the forthcoming match between these two sides. It would be fair to say that, at the moment, both of these teams are in the doldrums. The Demons have become the competition’s slow starters while the Saints are not only slow to begin, they’re not doing much of a job finishing off their games either. About the only th

    THE BLOW by Whispering Jack

Narrm’s finals prospects took a crushing blow after the team’s insipid performance at Optus Stadium against a confident Waaljit Marawar in the first of its Doug Nicholls Round outings for 2024.  I use the description “crushing blow” advisedly because, although the season is not yet at it’s halfway mark, the Demons have now failed abysmally in two of their games against teams currently occupying bottom eight places on the ladder.  The manner in which these losing games were played out w

HALF FULL by KC from Casey

It was a case of the Casey Demons going into a game with a glass half full in their match up against the Brisbane Lions at Casey Fields on Saturday. As the list of injured and unavailable AFL and VFL listed players continues to grow and with Melbourne taking all three emergencies to Perth for the weekend on a “just in case” basis, its little brother was always destined to struggle. Casey was left with only eight AFL listed players from who to select their team but only two - an out-of-form

GAMEDAY: Rd 10 vs West Coast

It's Game Day and the Demons have returned to the site of their drought breaking Premiership to take on the West Coast Eagles in what could very well be a danger game for Narrm at Optus Stadium. A win and a percentage boost will keep the Dees in top four contention whilst a loss will cast doubt on the Dees flag credentials and bring them back to the pack fighting for a spot in the 8 as we fast approach the halfway point of the season.

    WARNING by William from Waalitj

As a long term resident of Waalitj Marawar, I am moved to warn my fellow Narrm fans that a  danger game awaits. The locals are no longer the easybeats who stumbled, fumbled and bumbled their way to the good fortune of gathering the number one draft pick and a generational player in Harley Reid last year. They are definitely better than they were then.   Young Harley has already proven his worth with some stellar performances for a first year kid playing among men. He’s taken hangers, k
