Absolutely brilliant. Up there with Round 22 1987 and the Elimination vs North and the Semi vs Sydney in 87. Never ever tire of watching those. A key link - the incomparable Tim Lane. "The G was awash with red and blue...." etc etc Fantastic! By the way, that number 4 can play a bit as well....

The umpire noise drives me insane! All you hear is then yelling play on or maxy, maxy! Adds very little and takes away plenty. If umpire explanations needed the commentators can listen to the umpire shyte.

I wasn't a big fan of Tony Leonard when he first started calling, but he's definitely improved over the years.

He and Tim make for a good combination, and I particularly enjoy listening to them call a close game.

Edit: Just on the crowd noise, if you look up at the radio boxes in the Olympic stand you'll see that they have mics pointing out the window to capture the atmosphere. It works in our favour because we own that side of the ground.
