Will he be just another Michie, Newton or Riley?

Point?

There is a package on the club website  - he looks very neat in all aspects (albeit he is playing in the lower grade).

GWS website shows his weight now up to 86kg, so at 188 will give some height and bulk to the midfield.  If he retains the run he was drafted for then it is all upside.

He had a hip op last year, so might have to wait a while for his best.

He seems to be more competition for our back 6, rather than our midfield, but I could be wrong. Certainly looks like we're targeting the good ball users now. He looks very neat.

The way we are going Draft Day is going to be really interesting for us, we were really keen as others have said on McKenna obviously have been closely monitoring since, that's the 3 spots filled now what?

Hopefully we have learned our lesson there and not handed out another lengthy contract. A one year deal would be good. Welcome, Pat.

We really don't leak.

If it's one thing this trade period has taught me, never sit back and assume MFC is done for the rest of the period.

(if I didn't learn it from the sublime manoeuvring last year)

MFC website claiming he is a good decision maker. One thing we definitely need

Knows where his off stump is, and leaves the ball well.

We received a pick upgrade from 57 to 51, then a downgrade of a later pick - he was practically free.

Depends on whether you are a pessimist or optimistic the club knows what it is doing

No, depends on if he is a good footballer or not

From this article:

http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-11-27/giant-leap-for-one-of-gws-six-draftees

McKenna, the left-handed batting Australian under-19 skipper, was taken by the Giants during the second round at No.23 overall.

The 18-year-old led his country on a tour to Sri Lanka in September, but it was there he decided on a career in football after excelling for Gisborne in the Bendigo Football League.

McKenna is 186cm and 76kg, is good overhead and with his good foot skills, can play a variety of positions.

Giants list manager Stephen Silvagni said he could see enormous upside in McKenna, once he got some pre-seasons into him.

"We know he runs very well and he's an elite ball user," Silvagni said.

"We rated him and we had pick 23 and we picked him. We were happy to get him there."

Is it a concern that SOS rates him??

And better than we thought we'd get with our first pick.

I believe his dream is to play in front of a packed MCG  - he's just swapped sports to achieve this goal easier.

The MFC - a destination club for multiple reasons!

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc.
